  • We have just opened our sealed pot  as we need to pay to have a tree cut down and there was £124 :j in there so £120 to the treeman and £4 has gone back into the new pot :T

We have had this pot running since January and had hoped to fill it by December and that would have been about £500  But we glad to have the £124 as its money that would have just been frittered away :p

    Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't been around recently - need to get back on track. I will add some money to the pot later on when I get home.

I have also opened up a savings account and will transfer any odd money into my account. So far I've got £1.06 in there.

Welcome all newbies - I have added you all to the list :o .

Have added my £1 to OH's phone bill and to the savings today.

I had already made a repayment plan for OH's phone bill, but these additional daily payments mean i will be ahead of schedule and can then start on the next debt - oh so many to choose from

Doing this is really making me think about the pennies / pounds i would usually waste on the silly useless bits day to day.
Huge thanks to the OP x :T

£5.09 paid off today - still waiting for guy who bought my oven for £50 to get in contact and come collect it... got confused at how much I have paid off this month so will give payment a couple of days and see!! :) think it has taken it off my min payment though, so not sure direct debit will come out - does anyone have virgin card? Do extra payments come off min payment first?
