Well done on your winnings!!!!
I just wanted to say I was really moved by what you wrote about your Mum.......... I'm lucky that I still have my mum, but I've just had a really petty row with her. So, because of you, I'm off to give her a big hug and say I'm sorry.
Thanks xxxxxxxxxxOctober make £10/day currently £11.020 -
Hi IA
Hugs to you about your Mum. It is 22 years this year since my Mum died so I have now been without her longer than I was with her - very odd feeling. I was 15 when she died so obviously I was guided by my Dad as to whether to go and see her afterwards and he advised me not to unless I really wanted to. Don't know whether it was the right thing but I didn't - the pro of this is I can only remember her as she was when she was alive not as she was after she had died, the con of this is that it took me a long time to accept that she was gone.
Anyway, I think what I have learned is that there are no rights and wrongs - we can only do our best.
Also I don't think the people we have loved and lost are ever that far away.
Here are some big dodgy hugs:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:PigginSkint's debt free diary

IA you are a beautiful person - what you wrote about your mum proved that! I figure your win (and the way it was won!) was a sign that your mum knows how you feel and loves you very much too. Buy yourself something new to wear to the party with a little of your share and have fun. IDA

Hiya sar,
Well I went back and read your post, ((((((hugs))))))))) to you sar, I know where your coming from hon, I'm lucky cos I still got my mum bless her, but lost my dad 3yrs ago and worked as a sheltered Housing officer when I got the call which had happened lots of times during his illness so rushed to finish my rounds and the same thing happened to me sar. But it has got better and I see the fun side of him most days, there's always something that reminds me of the good times and of what a great dad he was, I know I'm lucky and hope you can feel like this sooner rather than later hon
Love hugs and cuddles to you and yours,

awwww IA- Not happened to me with parents but has with grand-parents. 1 Grandad did exactly same as you stopped at work cos stuff, needed doing and they were short staffed and got to hospital 15 mins after he'd died.
My other Grandad, we knew he hadn't got long left, there were several family members with him including me and I was 7.5 months pregnant with his first great-grandchild. I desperately needed a wee and hung on and hung on,till I could no longer. He died during the time I visited the toilet. After the experience with my 1st grandad dying, I couldn't believe it. Then someone said to me that I needed to think of my Grandad had chosen this time to go, to spare me the pain of actually seeing him die, so that's how I think of it.
Big hugs to you (((()))))))0 -
