Once you register apply for a 'small earnings' NI exemption certificate so you don't have to pay NI contributions until you know who much you'll be earning. Or you can pay voluntary contributions at £2 off a week to keep up your NI record. You won't have to fill in a tax return until next year and the Inland revenue will send you out an self employed information back when you register.

You have just reminded me that I need to pay my NI contributions. Thanks.*Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads*

Hi IA, I just wanted to say it's great to have you back (although you won't know me, LOL - and although I was away when you reappeared hence late welcome!)
I'm not personally into tatoos but yours is fab, especially with the thoughts behind it. You won't ever be able to tell your DDs to 'get off your back' now though, will you?!
Seriously, I've always seen you as such a positive and helpful person, your departure was a loss to the rest of us and your return has evidently cheered up quite a few people not just li'l me
