If you cant afford it, or it would make you struggle, I'm sure your mum would want you to take care of you and yours, as a priority over the charity.
Once you are debt free, there will be plenty of time to donate or raise money

Morning hun ! What Spud said ^^^ :T also, don't forget you have done the Race for Life at least twice and raised a good amount. Good luck with all the juggling this week, you will be fine. XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

If you're not tied into it and its gives you some comfort to know you are helping and you can afford it then I say go for it. If things get tighter then you can always cancel knowing you have given when you could. Maybe you could set yourself a challenge to recoup that money elsewhere ie shopping?

Only you can decide hun.
I know my mum would've hated me being in debt, so would want me to prioritise that above donating to charity. As Ellidee said, you do raise money doing the Race for Life etc.
Whatever you decide, will be the right decision for youIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Morning! My view for what it is worth is that if you think you can afford it, and it won't make too much impact on your finances, then you should do it, as it will make a big difference to the hospice and allow them to care for more people. It works out at less than £1 per week and if things get too tight, you can opt out at any point in time, but it is a very good cause - as you already know, and is one that is personal to you and your family.
Ultimately it has to be your call, but I suspect that you will find a way to make that £4 back some other way!0 -
Yep, you could challenge yourself to make up the £4 each monthIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

If you get your qualifications and do your TMA, CAB course you can get that better debt advisor job, one that will make your mum prouder than she already is (if that's possible) and mean you'll have several thousand extra in years to come to donate and probably more free time to volunteer for them if you want... you can incorporate the hospice donation idea now or postpone it to part of the big plan...

Just a thought Sar, (this is assuming that you do not earn enough to pay tax... and that you do go ahead with the monthly donation).
If you put the donations through in Ste's name (cos he pays tax) and tick the gift aid box the tax man will give the hospice an extra 28p for every £1:T . Making your £4 into £5.12.
I would still make sure you can reallly afford it though.
Just my 2p's worth <goes back to lurking mode now>
