hey IA - it's a bummer about the Egg loan, but these things are for a reason, so knowing you you will move on from here and bust the debt sooner anyway.....
Altho you were minimising the interest over time, chances are you would have ended up extending the period over which you held the debt, so would've set your DFD back...
as someone who has welcome finance too, i know how tempting it is to want kick it into touch!

Good news
Ste called up the tv finance people and they do allow you to pay off the loan using a CC balance transfer
Ste's got 0% BT on his ASDA so just need to get an up to date balance and work out how much we need to pay off his card to fit the TV balance on there and then get it paid off ASAP (but before the 9 months).
