Sorry about the egg, but for what its worth I am secretly glad. Egg have just upped the interest on my cc and you would have been swapping 2 years for nearly 4 years. (although I know you could have overpaid!)
Good to hear about the tv balance transfer. I hope one day you will look back and thank god egg turned you down.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Thanks Sammy. I know you're right. It just would've been easier having everything in one lump and paying less interest but stuff it.. soldier on..
I worked out last night how much we needed to pay off the asda to fit the BT in but I'm put my notepad down somewhere with my workings out on it so as soon as I find it I'll update... I know we've easily enough to do it so feeling much happier now. Just need to find out what details ASDA need to be able to do the balance transfer.
Hope everyone's well.:)Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Wait, woah, fit the BT on the Asda card? Have you got purchases on there at a normal interest rate?!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I know I'm probably telling you something you already know but do check how your payments will be made on the balance transfer if you've already got a balance on the card.
I know we were offered an extended period of BT after the initial offer was over on one card, but when we phoned to check, the payment would be coming off the new BT amount, whilst the older balance would then revert to an interest bearing amount with nothing being cleared until the 0% rate was over on the new balance (clear as mud)"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. We've applied for, and been rejected for a loan. We applied after having a long discussion about the pros and cons and decided between ourselves that we would apply. So please don't think it was just an 'easy way out' plan. But either way we were rejected so it's back to plan B. lol
I've asked Ste to contact the tv finance people and ask if it is possible to pay off the balance using a balance transfer from a credit card. Ste has 0% BT's on his card so we can pay off enough to have enough space on his card to allow for that if we can. We've then got 9 months to pay off that (£100 a month, easy).
The other option if we can't do that will be to pay it off using the credit card and then getting it paid off ASAP to limit the amount of interest we pay on it. At least these methods are flexible so long as we can afford the repayments (Which we can). It's not ideal but having looked at potential savings by the time it needs to be paid off there's no way we'll manage to raise the whole amount in that time without selling big items such as my basses etc and there's no way I'm doing that.
Just need to wait and see what the tv finance people say!
