Morning  I knew a girl that had quite a severe phobia of spiders, she would scream, freeze and become all incoherent even if she saw a photo of one. But she got posted to Iraq and obviously was quite scared, but she went ahead with it. She told that when she saw a camel spider it wasnt like seeing a proper spider from home because it was too big, in fact it looked like a dog!!

    Just, just no! :p

I was really disappointed in it, which is a massive shame as I'm an uber-Batman geek.

I had the worst night ever last night... was awake but dozing about 3.30am when I felt something tickling my back. I thought it was my hair so kept brushing it away to get rid of the tickling. Eventually it went so I settled back down (lying on my front) when all of a sudden I felt something brush my face. I bricked it and started hitting the pillow and brushing the sheets off obviously thinking the worst when I heard something hit the floor. Sat up, turned the light on and after a bit of searching discovered a 'stunned and playing dead' spider on the floor...

Cue me curled up in a ball sobbing while Ste crushed the bloody thing.... and me then lying in bed for the rest of the night bolt straight staring at the ceiling and jumping out of my skin at every little shadow....

 runs to revenge archive of flesh eating spider pics...... :rotfl:

Did I mention tattoo scabs make me queasy.... did I mention my evening class in psychic long-distance control of spiders....

Just do a google image search for 'spider bite' and see the horrendous catalogue of pics that come up!

There was someone on house buying who viewed a place full of tanks full of spiders and snakes - the vendor said they were "fairly sure" none had escaped but couldn't be entirely sure... the poster decided they probably wouldn't be buying because of that constant niggling feeling that maybe one or two (a mummy and a daddy) had escaped and were living in the walls/ceiling/pipes....
