Anyway, I'd just like to boast, that even though I don't need any investment advice either and these boards aren't as much fun as before (probably because everyone sane knows we are in a housing crash now)

In that case there is still mass insanity out there because the forum seems full of people not realising the seriousness of the crash, judging by the daily threads full of people asking if they should rent their own place out and wait for recovery, or reluctantly snip £5K off as a big saviour.

I'll be here to feast on the fun for a long time yet.

Its becoming quite fashionable to have a leaving thread. Someone else did one a while ago and inflated his ego by getting all the girls to cry and wail, how he would be missed etc. (IMHO of course)

Now of course I'm not saying Merlin is going to do an about turn and come back in a few days, like someone else might have done.

Anyway, I'd just like to boast, that even though I don't need any investment advice either and these boards aren't as much fun as before (probably because everyone sane knows we are in a housing crash now) I shall still be reading and posting now and again.

Although I do reserve the right to have a big leaving thread some time in the future and come back with a new name.

Just what exactly are you getting at? ;)

You still trying to STR? :p

We decided not to bother and the house was taken off the market. However, a month later, I have been asked by the EA to allow one more virewing. So, there is still a slim chance.

I'm not bothered either way really.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.

  • I won't be posting any longer. Having spent all our money on the house I no longer need any investment advice. If prices go up I don't care as I will not ever be STR again. If they go down more I don't want to know!

Just don't use the same posting nym when you come back for advice from the DFW forum
