I have been a "life" long Natwest customer, 20 years or so.

I too have encounter the "heavy" selling tactics, mostly within the last three/four years.

I have also endured a number of reveiws at various periods throughout the last ten years and have not been coerced as much as some of you into unwanted purchases.

Experiences have been good as well as well as bad.

I have entered into "unauthorized" borrowing in the past ( the last occasion being Dec 2007) but must say this; On almost every occasion I have phoned the call centers and had at least of 50% if not whole refund of said charges, or in fact pre-empted said charges and had them cancelled in advance of payment. :D;)

The bank has always willingly obligied to work with me to settle the matter immedatley.

I have a number of current accounts, one of which I regularly use the OD facility but this is generally offset by cash on the other linked accounts.:money:

I am a little frustrated at the moment though as last week went into the branch to arrange to close one unused OD and set up a payment plan to reduce the active OD by £50 a month. :money:The cashier was very helpful and didn't even mention the dreaded "Review". However, my dissappoint on the first of this month upon seeing the requested actions failing to materialise via online banking was compounded further in the post the following day when I received a "NEW Overdraft" application to reset my OD by the agreed payment amount, without any mention or closure of the unused OD facility to date.
A tactic I am positive has been employed to put me off eventuallyclosing my OD's and not paying the bank the measly £10-15 a month for the pleasure.

I am making a specail visit on Saturday armed with paperwok and a very acid tongue....

I have NO intention of changing banks, paying for accounts, reveiwing my finances or anything else.

:A :money:Thanks to MSE I am now more than capable of managing my finances in a way that I want.:money::A
