Energy Saving 24 hour plug in timer 1p (was £4)

Any chance of the barcode for this please, and perhaps a brief description of packaging etc. so that we might be able to identify this item easily ?

    Thanks

Have a watchout, there is a problem in my store, and possibly many others with RTC products. They all seem to be printing on white labels and not yellow. IT is looking into it, but they aren't as easy to spot. The price is still RTC but the label doesn't show any of the previous prices .

Barcode 5 051140 514600 Tesco's own brand, the packing is just clear shrink-wrap. I'll take a photo if I can find my camera leads.

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

Just got some great gardening bargains. Pink gardening gloves only 3p a pair & there were loads of them. Garden fleece to protect plants 50p, metal looking hanging basket 37p, & bracket for 50p. Also got a pink pig for the dog for 74p (it has a really scary grunt!) dog bowl 36p & a feeding mat for 20p. Loads of other bargains especially garden hoes & forks all about £3, although might be less if you price check them;)
Edit, oops just read Jessbobs post seems the hoes & stuff have gone down.

    Hmmm
I presume this must be down to individual stores, rather than national pricing
I scanned every piece of gardening equipment I could lay my hands on yesterday - and nothing near the prices you and others quote.
Gloves for example are half price at 75p and 37p depending on quality/thickness
I have not been able to find any of the reduced steel bowls peeps have found. They all scan at full price.
My local store is not big enough to stock all this stuff, so went to the biggest Tesco in the County which does stock all the gardening and pet things, but no mega-reductions there at all.
Thanks for all the postings though, I will keep my eye on them and keep scanning;)

I'd say it is IF you can find the right barcode - which I presume goes with the right packaging.

I went to 2 Extras yesterday and found what appears to be exactly the same timers.

HOWEVER the SEL is a yellow one with a reduction to £1.49 (from £2.49 or £2.95/£2.97 or such - NOT £4) and they do scan at this price (ie. £1.49) ... well SOME of them do. ***

Perhaps oliveoyl can confirm exactly what the outer packaging is made from.
Is it a "hard shell" formed plastic (like a "pop" bottle) or is it just a "cling film" wrapper ?

The ones I found were like "cling-film" (shrink wrapped?) and did NOT have the £4 yellow sticker flash on them. Also some of them had different writing on the inner cardboard sleeve - seem to remember a "GREEN" reference.
These were all sitting in a cardboard box/tray (in fours) located around the lightbulb section.
ALL these had a different barcode to the one above and I confirmed the reduced SEL - scanned at £1.49

*** I then found one with a different barcode - yippee I thought ( :( - sadly having written down the above barcode I'd left it at home) - yippee didn't last long - SCANNED at £4

When I got home I checked and barcode WAS NOT the above - I think it was 5051790963857 (last 3 digits might just be wrong) and the packaging was slightly different.
There was an additional small hard plastic tag (inch square) with a hole in it stuck at the top on the back (so that the item could be hung up) and I subsequently found a selection of these hanging on one of those plastic strips in the electrical section (where the TV, phones, radios etc. are)

So no joy for me - not found the right barcode - will try another store next week. :)
