Still haven't worked out how to find all these end of line reductions. Do you just look for stuff with no SEL? Only ever found one myself & that's only because it's something I used a lot.
Hi Voucher man, Yes thats exactly right grumpy grandad goes up and down the freezer isles looking for items with no sels. [He is living in hope that the Salmon will be reduced from £5 - £2.50 in our store. Bless he gets soooooooo disapointed that I feel like asking the manager if he will kindly reduce it] If it is NEW stock then it is usually that staff have not priced items up yet but if it is old stock there is a good chance that they are on clearout. If in doubt take them to the self scanner, or alternatively SMILE at checkout and ask very nicely if they would mind please scanning the item for you as there is no price on it. [Did this one night to find the beef joints were £1.75 so asked the lovely young man if I could go back and get the rest, he said certainly]

    Hey everyone,

I was just reading through your posts about best deals and I too find that the price changes, but I think that is also because that they 'try' to source locally produced food where possible for that particular stores or collection of stores.

If you want a list of 'best buys' each week that are national and in one place, my suggestion as I get their newsletter and use the website is www.mealsavers.co.uk

That is the best on the web for having everything in one place at the same time and its updated all the time.

Any more good websites like that ?

  • I was in the Tesco Extra in Cornwall (we only have one in the whole county lol) today when my sister noticed big bars of organic dark chocolate reduced from nearly £2 a bar to 24p a bar and next door I spotted fairtrade milk and dark chocolate bars again big bars should have been over the £1 again reduced down to 19p a bar. Some have a short date off only a week or two but at that price I dont mind lol!!! Also my sister ate a whole bar of the fairtrade milk choc on the way home as it was so nice!!!
    Happy shopping xxxx

Was that in the normal aisle for chocolate or somewhere else?

They've been putting some reduced price chocolate in the easter egg aisle - I have seen 400g bars of toblerone for £1 a couple of times (but it doesn't stay long!)
  • They were in the mothers day section but i have noticed that they put chocoate an other reduced items in the Easter egg isle aswell lol.

Spotted 2 packs of Fox's triple bars (red packs) on a different shelf to the rest of the packs. The packs have 12 biscuits in, and are packed in double thickness (2 layers of 6 biscuits). Scanned at just 39p each!. Think they may be old packaging as the other packs which scan at 99p contain a single row of 10 bisuits - one to look out for (unless you are trying to shed a few pounds) as they are DELICIOUS.

This is the first mis-price I have actually found myself :D

Happy shopping to you all :j

Tesco pouches of honey and lemon chewing gum reduced to 11p today, normal SEL states 11p.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!
  • Yesterday we found sum reduced priced organic swedes in our local Tescos. Doesn't sound to out of the ordinary I know but they were reduced to between 17p-25p each but used with the organic vouchers in the new tesco mag for 30p off any organic produce they end up paying you to take them away lol!!! Me and my mum had about 6 vouchers between us so bought 6 and but through all of the vouchers and got paid to take them home lol!!!
If your store has the free tesco mags it's worth gettin a few and carrying the money off vouchers round with you just in case you happen to see any great bargains lol!!!

    Happy bargain hunting everyone xxx
