Popped into Tescos to pick up some salad and noticed that the market value cucumbers were 92p, but the normal cucumbers were only 80/85p! (can't remember which now)

on a very rare trip to Tescos these days I found a bargain.

With just a normal white SEL, no yellow 'reduced to clear' or 'special offer' SEL, The English Provender Co. Wild Cranberry Chutney is priced at 39p per jar!

It is in the aisle with all the other pickles and chutneys and is alongside the other English Provender chutneys with prices of £1.39 a jar for other varieties. I'm sure it must be a shelf pricing mistake by Tesco as the products are well in date (March 2012) - I think they've just missed the £1 bit off the label! Probably, hopefully, nationwide.

check out the frozen aisles. there were loads of frozen cakes reduced to clear. also some ice creams. pudz were down to 50p and there were auntbessie scones 42p and loads of other cakes and gateau including weight watchers

Was in tesco's this afternoon and found a Kids Milkybar Selection Box from Xmas.

When at till, i asked for a price check and was told it was only 1p

My little one was happy and so was I....

Spotted in the freezer section the Tesco Finest Mixed Berry Cheesecake, discontinued price down to £0.70 from £3.49. Loads in sunny Slough branch, aisle end freezers.

Just back from Tesco in Silverburn amd found some Tesco Christmas Stuffed and butter basted turkey crown joint with apricot and cranberry suffing decorated with maple cured streaky bacon in the reduced freezer bit. Down from £13.50 to £2.99. 2kg size.

The boxes didn't have any reduced price on them nor did the SEL. Had to ask an assistant and by the time I went back to get another one at that price someone ele had asked the same and taken 2. There were 2 left in the freezer - didn't have space in my freezer for any more...

Comic Relief wine (red and white) was £4.99, currently selling for £2.49. I bought 4 bottles today, saved £10 and apparently £1 per bottle went to Comic Relief!!

I bought the cranberry chutney too, not tried it yet as keeping it for a hamper to take away for a short break in May. I got some of the frozen tropical smootie packs for 75p each instead of £2.XX, noticed that all the David Beckam go kids ready meals (think thats what they are called) were all reduced to 75p each... freezer loads of them in Chichester !
