Hey LJM I too am a qualified NNEB. Not working now but used to work within main stream supporting Special Needs children.

You're a teaching assistant? I wanted to do that but since doing the childcare course (which we were told may help us get a teaching assistant job) i actually want to work with younger children as i love volunteering in nursery.

I think because I am trying to do stuff for craft fair and the course and everything else i do its just a bit much. After the next few weeks I should be ok although they do seem to be loading me up with work but it means i get it finished quicker (so hopefully can get a job and do the level 3 - then I really wont have any time!!! :rotfl:)

I have sock monkeys (small and large), sock rabbits, sock cats, sock pigs and 1 sock dragon at the moment. I am trying to make a few more themed monkeys like fairys and I want to make more cats and more rabbits. Not sure what will sell as i havent done one before but with what is left i will take down for my mum to sell at her craft fairs. She does alot of them.

Here's my dragon. My sister asked for a shrek dragon and i only have 1 pair of red sparkly socks so this one was the try out. i also have the green eyes now so just need time to do her as well!!

Have mastered the monkeys now, but wondered if anyone has a link to a good tutorial for the bunnies?? Was planning to make them for my children for easter.

ah you will be fine i went in to work as a NNEB and was trained up through the school which was nice im only qualified to work primary age though i like seeing them progress throughout the school knowing i may have done a little to help them along the way
