Shelley - I just wanted to say that your sock monkeys are some of the best I've seen and I have been very inspired by them! I am only making a few for Christmas presents (although it's taken a lot of practising to get anything good enough for me to give as a gift!) and your monkeys have really helped me so thank you. I'm sorry about the problems you've had with someone else nearby but I'm sure that your customers will keep coming back to you because of the quality and service you've given them - well done!

thanks mummyslittleboy. my kids wanted to keep him!! lol actually they ask to keep every single one they see except the elves. ds1 wanted to send them to our elf Otis so he could have friends and a girlfriend!!!! :P

thanks. Its feathered wool. I was looking for a different wool but then found that one and its ideal! Not got much of it left though!

He's lovely. How do you sew the ears on yours. do you stuff them then machine sew the inside bit? I am going to try to make fairy wings for one and thought that sort of thing would look good on the wings but dont know where to start.

Thanks so much Mim D it's only now I've had the confidence to make them as gifts and it has sort of snowballed from there. Really appreciate your kind words

Unfortunately the FB thing has got worse and she has started emailing some of my customers stating that she has the same socks and will make them. Some of my friends had been outraged and put some choice comments on her page! I'm all for healthy competition but that is ridiculous!!

Have a lovely time at your daughter's and I'm sure she will be so happy to have some help. My Mum was so good when I had my 2 boys I couldn't have managed without her

Shelly I HOPE she tires of this behaviour once she realises no one is playing her game. I am certain you can rise above it, chin up.

I bought some red uced socks in T the other day, some were trainer style but I bagged them purely for the coloured heels & toes that I can use on other socks should I need spares. Just an idea, they were only 50p for 5 pairs so no brainer really.
I have STACKS of socks & ned to make up a few more & take pics of my completed monkeys.
