Sock monkeys!

OK girls you've eventually got me to join the sock monkey club. promised myself I wouldn't add to my overladen spare room but had to try just the one....mind you for the amount of time it took me to stuff it I could have made half a dozen nappy cakes.
So here is just the one i said i'd make but what shall i do with all the lovely coloured pile of socks. .....er !! well maybe just make one more..
but have to do abit of tweaking with the ears.

Ooooh he's very pretty! I love the colours! Well done ... how much swearing did you do when making him?

Thanks Shelley.... going to do a pink one tomor and I love the camouflage one.. think i'll go shopping in the morning ..Oh gosh if i didn't have the internet how bored would i be. And now i know why we have 2 spare bedrooms..LOL

Well i wasn't going to make anymore today but i've left the ironing now to start another one!!!! Back to work tomorrow night for four shifts so I won't have any time the rest of the week. Its really addictive isn't it?
I've filled the study with my nappy cakes and sock monkeys and its supposed to be OH sanctuary for his Inspectors promotion!! Ooops :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Erm ... I wouldn't go that far but would say they get easier. My first attempt wasn't completed before unstuffing him and binning him. My second attempt is a couple of pages ago and I did him in about 1 hour 20 ish? found him so much easier even though using fluffy socks which makes it more awkward because of the pile. I have a pink one still to do but have had no time last couple of days. OH is going mad as I have the dining room filled with orders for nappy cakes, sewing machines, sock monkeys, door hangers, hampers ready to wrap and card making stuff

Fortunately my things have not bred into the boys rooms or the spare bedroom yet. But I did take the other spare bedroom and made into in a study. Its a long time yet before my boys fly the nest they are only 5 and 2 but i'm sure when they do i'll find things to fill their bedrooms with!!! I'm glad i moved and upsized before i found this thread LOL
