  • Hi
All your monkeys are fab! I especially like chatty123 chilling on the beach! Pooky, I like the ribbon ties on yours, I might pinch that idea if you don't mind..

Here are my latest efforts! The diamond one has already been snaffled by my mum, the blue one I think, is going to live in my car, the orange & black one, OH has adopted! I can't decide if I like him better with or without the hat and scarf..

  • Here is my first attempt at a sock monkey for DS was originally going to try and get blue/white striped socks but thought I could practice on this pair just now!

Not 100% happy with him but hoping once I add a scarf he'll be a bit better...
I just can't seem to make the stiches really discreet! Will practice some more though because they are really fun to make!

great 1st monkey bluestarrz... thats it now your hooked :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Does anyone know the easist way to attach the monkey nose? mine dont looked as stuffed as yours
I am determined to lose weight!:kisses3:
Weight loss so far 2 stones 6lbs!! :j:j
  • The way I did it was tuck the edges under, sew along the top and back again to make it secure. Then sew halfway along the bottom, leaving a gap. Stuff the nose nice and full, then sew the last half of the bottom, and all the way back along the bottom again so it's nice and strong.
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Bought a pack of 7 pairs for £2, they are plain one ut lovely colours and a pack of 2 pairs gorgeous animal print ones and a pair of pink/grey strip one with gold in them which were marked as £1.50 but actually went through as 50p!!!! I had to stop myself from going back in and clearing them out!! Didnt realise they were over the knee socks though so guess ill just have a long monkey!! lol
