Note to myself and others, time applications towards the end of the phone contractscheers suzanne!

I've purposely not applied for absolutely anything to do with credit for ages now in a way to start rebuilding my credit rating. but will my contract renewal go down as a credit application?
Depends which company your with but would not of thought so if you have made payments on time,i am with 3 mobile and been for 4 years and they have not credit searched me when renewing.0 -

It depends how the lender reports though. For example I'm on o2 (soon to be leaving them!) and it's always been reported as 0 months @ £0, so lenders can't tell and have to assume (and as I'm on one of the more expensive tariffs, presumably this works in my favour as they probably estimate a mid range one!)

I've got my report and on my current bank account that i use now its showing 3 x (2)..... how can i get this looked into? If i remember rightly this was a problem with A&L giving me an overdraft and then taking it away without my knowledge, they agreed it was their fault and returned all charges... I also have a (Q) on there too... any ideas?0

Hi I hope someone here can give some advice:
I just joined Experian to check my credit report (I was turned down for credit on a smallish furniture purchase) but my report has literally no information on it other than what I sent them myself (i.e. my name and address). I have a mortgage and credit card which don't appear, I'm definately on the electoral roll (I voted in the election) but this doesn't appear. I phoned them and they said it could be because my flat is officially called an 'Apartment' so this may be confusing their system.....? But then they checked with different address variations and still nothing.
Is this Experian being a bit rubbish or is this how my credit report will look when someone else checks it? Is it really confusion over whether my address is "flat" or "apartment", and if so what can I do about it?
Any advice welcome!0 -
I have similar experience with you. My Halifax clarity card got rejected. When I call Halifax line they explain that the main reason is coming from CRA e.eg Experian and they ask me for appeal using HAlifax Appeal procedure.
I Appeal the decision to Halifax, using various evidence and it is successful.
I am holding several main banks credit cards some of them with credit limit of £5,000. I never miss any single payments as I set up a direct debit for all my Credit Card, unless in some occasion because of the computer system error of the bank and I was tagged as late payment. At the time I complaint and I got refunded as well as any other interest was paid by the bank. They could easily see it was not my fault because the bank where I do my SO is the same parent companies with CC provider.
I believe the reason why I got rejected is because the inacurate information that experian is holding about me. In the above instance they did not recognise that it was not my fault. Also in other accasions I opened a bank account I just happen to know that in my file there was wrong i e.g. how long I have been living in my current premises.
You see we need to pay for the mistake they are making. In the US people do not need to pay, so they will ahve opportunities to see theor file and inform if there is any inaccurate data about you.
Is there any way to sue these CRA based on inaccurate information that they are holding about us ... ??
