Can someone clarify whether product vouchers can be used in supermarkets if that particular product has not been bought.

I ask because I got £6 worth of vouchers from a small environmentally-friendly cleaning product company but don't want to post the details on here if people get the vouchers and don't buy the products because I'd feel awful! I know it's tricky... I really want to spread the word because I know how much it helps small companies but I don't want to cause them problems!

    What do you reckon? :D

    Hi Gem,

Sorry but I'm not 100% sure what you mean!

Do you mean that if you had vouchers for product A, could you buy product B (both made by the same company) instead?

Or do you mean that they have sent you a general voucher (e.g. Love 2 Shop, ASDA etc.) and you want to know whether you have to use the general voucher to buy a product from their range?

If you mean the first option then you can use the voucher (unless it specifically says otherwise on the voucher) for any products in their range.

If you mean the second, then you can use the general voucher for anything in the shop to which the voucher pertains (again, unless it specifically says on the voucher). Ethically it would be preferable to use it to buy a product from their range, but the choice is yours.

Have I understood you correctly? Hope this helps!

    show the emails you sent?
  • I wrote a letter to Walkers a while back saying that the crisps had no flavouring on. They sent me a £5 voucher in return.

I sent an email to KitKat last night because the bar had no wafer in, got a reply back this morning with an apology, nothing else though.

I ordered a pink hamper via paypal on the interflora website. Have had nothing but grief with them, Just 3 emails since last week, no reply, sent another email now

I ordered it to be delievered for the 15th of july, it was not even sent out until monday 20th july!

I received the hamper today, and gave to my friend as a present, but to my horror two of the food items are stale and it seems as another few items are missing!

This is the first time I ordered from interflora and probably the last. The service online is very very poor, to order an item and for it not to be even dispatched and for me to chase up the order is embarrasing on interflora's behalf. And now there is a problem with the hamper itself.

Please could you look into this matter as I have not had good service. What compensation?
