Just found this thread thanks to MT on the coupon thread! And just like I was with the coupon thread, I am inspired by reading your stories! Have just sent off my first few emails! Bio Oil have already replied to say they will send a sample. Will keep you posted on others! Have created a spreadsheet to help monitor success too after reading earlier in the thread that someone wished they had done this!

today i received
2 full size oxy products
a bag a pen 2 keyrings and recipe cards from jarlsberg
promises of vouchers from blue dragon
promise of sample from bio oil
and some rejections from others

This week I received
- three generous samples of aftershave from Penhaligons
- two tubes of toothpaste from GSK (I'm having allergic reactions to toothpaste and they were really really helpful)
- a teeny tiny sample of bio-oil
- promises of samples from Oxy, L'Occitane, Neal & Wolfe and a few others
- £15 gift voucher from TJ Maxx after I had loads of trouble returning a faulty item

And lots of promises from other companies I've wasted so much money on products I couldn't use or didn't like over the years, I can't believe it never occurred to me before to email and ask for a sample before spending

Today I got 2 pint glasses and 3 lovely travel sized products after asking for some samples and they came all the way from Australia

I foudn another 3 samples inside the parcel as well just now

Stumbled across this thread over the weekend and after sending off numerous emails for both compliments and genuine complaints here are the following outcomes so far:

Heinz - complaint- £2 voucher
Cravendale - compliment - Polite thank you
Morissons - compliment - Polite thank you
TKMaxx - complaint - We will pass on your concerns
Gillete - complaint - £10 voucher
Sainsbury's - complaint - £3 refund in nectar points
Burberry - complaint - New 50ml bottle of perfume on the way
Kimberley clarke - complaint - Voucher on the way
Radox - compliment - no reply as yet
Pears soap - compliment and query - no reply as yet
Honey monster - compliment - polite thank you
House of Fraser - complaint - redirected to store


I had never really thought of doing this before and have now taken to looking round the house to see what products / companies we use so that I can complain or compliment them. It has been good fun in the strangest sort of way.

hmm icomplimented haribo complained swizzles as my sweets were a mushy mess

from soap and glory - they dont offer samples, advised me to buy travel sizes.
