Freebie Successes by Letter / Email - What have you recieved? (merged)

farz ..when you write emails to companies, do you actually ask for samples, etc, or give your address in the email, or do you just say you'd like to try their products etc? ive emailed a few places before but never really had any luck.

It depends on the companies prices , if its reasonable priced I say I have used 'such and such from your range ,but did not know you did this one ,do you have any samples to try out ?' Its a compliment on one product ,while asking for the other at the same time . Worked well for me ,when I email them ,I always leave my address at the bottom ,that way it cuts down mails going back and forth . Il have a look out for my template ,and send you all mail if anyone wants it .

I gave up being nice and now I just ask straight out, probably had £30 vouchers in 10 days and about 50 sachets of different samples

that's a good idea about complimenting AND asking. obviously sometimes you haven't tried a specific product, but if you've tried something else from the same brand you can always compliment about that can't you

i'd LOVE a copy of your template if you could PM it to me, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Oh I dont mind admitting to gushing :rotfl:Iv had some pretty great stuff , to the extent I had to stop for a while as I have nowhere to put them . I got Sisley sachets - 15 of them ,which worked out at £40 a sachet if you look at the price of the creams and size of the bottle a few weeks back ,then I found 2 of the sample being sold on ebay for £25 , couldn't believe it myself .... its surprising ,as most of the more household names are quite stingy ,like only 2 sachets or a coupon ,but I have found ,the more expensive the creams and stuff ,the more they give you ....

Quick Template - edit to your needs ....


Hi there, I'd just like to make an inquiry, I am currently having a problem with oily skin on my nose and cheeks yet dry skin on the rest of my face ,I was wondering if you could possibly advise me on which of your products would best suit my needs ? I wear makeup daily so I am unsure on what products will not only keep my makeup fresh looking ,but will also stop me looking shabby and tired later on in the evening . I'm 'age' years old ,yet I still get pimples . And to be honest the more stressed out I get ,the more I break out .If it's possible to send me any advice or leaflets , my details are:

The leaflets and details practically insure you will get a sachet at least! It's even better if you also mention to them a few 'competition companies' you use .... or don't Also your routine ,if you have one . My other half sends the same template (just edited for a bloke) and the guy companies are always very good ,plus he feels so grateful for the goodies ,I get tea made for me all day

Emails ,Iv never yet sent a letter .... my handwriting is terrible due to muscle damage ,so I type everything . Emails also (to me) mean they can reply quicker ,most within 2 days . But you have now made me wonder if they would be just as generous with a written letter ?!

Anyway ,I hope the template helps
