Cheap Airport Parking: Gatwick Airport hints, tips and local parking

I am currently looking to book parking at Gatwick. What I really cant understand is why the On airport parking differs so much in price for the 2 terminals. It is about £18 extra to book at the North terminal, so as there is a perfectly good FREE shuttle train between terminals, I will be booking at the South terminal instead.
I've done the meet & greet in the past but as I own a licensed private hire vehicle I do not have that option. I am the only one insured to drive it, so that rules out any option of anyone else moving it, so on airport is the logical choice.
For the first time, I noted that one of the parking companies actually put this information in their Ts & Cs.
I made use of cheap.co.uk but found that putting the special discount code in it came up more expensive than anyone else, so back to the other sites.:)

My sister tried to book a parking space with parkatmyhouse last month as we were flying from Gatwick, but the dates were unavailable. We found another smaller parking site called parkonmydrive.com and that day our request was accepted. We also got transfers to and from the airport, the owner Jack, was so nice even loaded up our bags for us. Will def use them again and recommend to friends. Only negative, the site does not have a ratings,review page otherwise would have left great feedback for Jack.

We recently used a comparison type partner for gatwick parking and they where the best priced. They do use all the main parking companies that you can use direct but they seem to have better rates. safegatwickparking.co.uk is the direct link

Would like to share my experience. Discovered a car parking company called Tudor Rose, They have a secure car park 1.4 miles from Gatwick. Although they offer valet parking I chose the normal park and ride service. They take you directly to the airport - no waiting - this was wonderful when we were held up on the M25 for an hour. Then as a standard service they bring your car to meet you when you get back. You can then drive straight home.
Not sure if I am allowed to include their web site name but look for the one with "airport parking" in the name. The other one is for valet parking
I think that they charge £54 in the summer and £51 in Spring and Autumn. I have found slightly cheaper (£49 ish) but this was the best service by far. :T

We have booked with them for next month.

£54.29 for ten days.

I'll let you know what I think of them when we get home.

Gatwick airport has cleaned up the meet and greet side of things now and has brought in measures to drive out rogue companies.
Always use an airport parking company that is Park Mark certified, which means they have been checked out by the Police as having a car park which is adequately secure, as in gated and lights.
If you are unsure if they are Park Mark certified, which can be verified online use a comparison website like, Go Simply, Gatwick Car Parkers or Purple Parking who will only work with Park Mark companies.APH,Airparks etc are all long standing Park Mark companies.

I got an absolutely convenient parking space by going for a gatwick valet parking service it was not even expensive and made me catch my flight with an absolute peace of mind...
