  • You may want to check if underground tanks are part of the new "changing supplier" legislation due to be introduced in the next 6 months. If not, then you would be unable to seek the best prices from other suppliers, and it could be a nice long term contract for this company.
  • Consider retro-fitting an air source heat pump onto your existing heating system

    Very quick and cost effective

We found Pioneer Environmental very cost effective & helpful

I've just been quoted 49p a litre from my usual supplier. it was 42p when I last bought.
He said it will be going up again soon!!

Early to bed with a hot water bottle I reckon. :(

Ps we are being advised in our area, to buy smaller amounts at a time, due to the many oil thefts in the county.
So am only buying 500 lites at a time now.
    You can't win can you.

I ordered 1000 litres yesterday from Total Butler and was quoted 47. something. I wonder why yours was cheaper.

Having said that, next door had a delivery the day before yesterday from Owens Fuels and they paid 53. something a litre. Quite a big difference.

I always forget that the price quoted doesn't include VAT, so my 49p is actually, 51p. Doesn't sound so good now. :(

Drat! I forgot about the VAT. I'll have to rework that into how long it's going to take us to pay this filling up. It was 7 months on our current £75 a month DD.
  • Ive recently been looking into this and spoke to the following, got quoted wood pellets for £95 per tonne plus delivery.

  • When I last bought 1000 litres (September), I got a quote from Boiler Juice and also rang round some other suppliers. Emo was the cheapest, to my surprise.
  • Has anyone heard of Fuel Oil Direct - I have just tried them and got a good quote - just thought I would pass it on to you all.
You have a short online form to fill in and they email you a quote - I got back a quote within a few minutes and it was late at night, so maybe automatically updated??? Don't know!
