Hello everyone, Newby here. I've been lurking for quite a while, and have become addicted to O/S. I thougt I was the only reduced corner addict around until coming on here! I've picked up loads of hints and tips from you all, so thanks for that. Despite the moniker I've picked I'm female (just a huge Rob Bryden/Gavin and Stacey fan), an empty nester:(, with a grumpy O/H and geriatric terrier. I work full time, often quite long hours, but try to cook mainly from scratch and I just loooove the flylady thread, which really helps me get motivated. I'm a keen gardener too, so have been up since silly o'clock today transplnting bedding plants before it gets too hot, and am now off to transplant some beans! Good to join you all at last and thanks again for all the hints and tips:)0

I'm a stay at home mum to 3 girls and pregnant with our first son ( and last child!). My husband is in the military so life tends to be a bit chaotic. We also have a lovely 3year old cat. I'm currently about halfway through my open university degree and had aimed to train as a teacher afterwards though I'm wondering about turning to childminding and crafting (cakes, sewing and jewellery making mainly) from home for the next few years to get through my little ones early years and to make things a little more comfortable in the meantime, I suspect if it works out that could be where I stay but time will tell on that.0

I'm Jamie and I'm a 19 year old student, quite new to this forum but I'd like to learn a bit more about saving money. I figure you're never too young to start learning good spending habits.
Looking forward to learning some good OS recipes too!0 -

Evening All,
I'm Steph, and I'm 27 from SW London, and a work as a project co-ordinator for a charity. I'm also studying with the OU. Had a login here for ages, but never really used it. Coming back here because I realised that although I have a decent amount of money coming in, I'm spending way too much on rubbish!
I used the budget planner on the main MSE site - and it gave me one heck of a wake up call. I should be able to save about £400 per month if I'm careful and make changes to my life style. First thing I did today was switch my broadband and home phone provider - this alone will save me £25 per month. I plan to look at switching other things like my gas and leccy providers also. :j
I'm likely to be on this board a lot to pick up tips. I am much too reliant on ready made food, so as I'm sure you can imagine I spend way more than I need to on my shopping considering there is only me and my two cats. I must learn to meal plan. I'm also veggie which should make things cheaper still, and lastly, I need to sort out my poor neglected allotment!
Anyhow, that's enough for now.

Hello I'm cele! I have been reading here for a while but now am ready to go OS and save some money. I have just finished my degree and the next day had my 2nd child! Cut it fine! I'm going to work freelance for a while and spend time with my little ones but I need to save money to continue my educational and travel dreams working towards a future career! Hence my arrival here!
I love to be busy, and my house has been neglected somewhat over the final year of uni with pregnancy etc. So hoping to get more organised etc!
Im married to a wonderful man, who is also busy working loads of hours but is super hands on with the little ones! Also have a dog, 2 rabbits and 2 chickens!
I'm 3 weeks after a c-section so need to be gentle wih myself and build up my strength!0 -
Hi, I'm Kim.
I keep meaning to stick around in MSE, but... life gets in the wayI'm a lone parent, 27, with a 4 year old DS, and am returning to university in September. (I took a year out with PTSD and depression last year, but learnt some good coping mechanisms...)
Please be gentle!
