they are ice treads, ideal for walking on hard ice/ compacted snow, they fit over your normal shoes so can be easily removed:D

I bought similar ice grippers for around £20 on Amazon, mine do look better quality but not £16 better! They are well worth getting, particularly if you are elderly, disabled (I'm disabled) or just plain nervous of walking on ice!
I'm a member of the No Buying Toiletries thread, so of course HB has had WONDERFUL new things in this week. It was so hard to resist, Dove Firming Cream, Dove Body Lotion ... whimper. But I was good. I need to use up what I have - and a lot of it was bought in HB!
One thing that has been a bit disappointing is the mugs - I love buying new mugs! - and of late, they have been uniformly hideous. Twee cats and dogs and floral designs that Nature would abhor.
Nice to see the salt and vinegar rice crackers back. A very tasty low calorie nibble.
Did I spot some new shopping bags at the tills too? Their black ones weren't very sturdy - one ripped open in use and I only just kept my shopping, hope they are decent.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

I agree, I bought one of the black bags a couple of months back, and by the time I got my shopping home there was a hole in the bottom!!
  • I managed to get a wok for 99p as it had no label and it had a very small scratch with rust. Bargain :D

Poor old Gillian McKeith - firstly her 'Dr' title was exposed as being dodgy, then she had numerous humiliations on I'm A Celebrity.... and now in what must be the nadir of her career, her carefully crafted vitamin supplements are selling in Home Bargains for 50p for a 30 day supply. There was a general multivitamin supplement, high dose Vitamin C, high dose vitamin B complex, calcium and something... and some strange herbal powder things that might be similar to that which she stashed in her knickers in the jungle. I'm dubious of the efficacy of the herbal thingies, but the vitamins are a bargain for anyone who needs to take them - and the expiry date was some time in 2012.

Now I must lie down, for I am feeling a little faint...

... and in my second post in reference to love-to-hate-em celebrities and Home Bargains, I also found some jars of Gordon Ramsey pasta sauce for 79p - good-sized jars with decent ingredients and not short-dated either.
