'Home Bargains' Finds - Thread 3.

Hi All, I got a couple of nice bits (from Stretford) yesterday. I got a "Rough Guides Inflight Kit" which contains a mini toothpaste (M&S when you remove label), a travel toothbrush, an eye mask, an inflatable neck pillow, and earplugs, and I also got a "Rough Guides Locks & Tag".

Both sets were 99p each, and the stickers on the box show that these are both ex - Argos. Not bad for xmas if you know someone who does a lot of travelling.

Hi all, just got back from Home Bargains in Rhyl and they had Little Miss and Mr Men plates, bowls and tumblers for 50p each, I picked up a set of Little Miss Daredevil (coz she is!) for christmas. Hopefully there will be some left by payday on friday so I can pick some more up!

They also had Spiderman sets in boxes of plate, dish, cup, and cutlery for £2.49 and other various bit a pieces to match.

They had big boxes of Golden Wonder crisps (40 bags) for £2.49 which is a good buy except they go out of date 25th October but ideal for big families that would eat them by then!!

Great for christmas presents

I also got walkers ready salted crisps for 10p each and the grab bag steak and onion for 15p each

The Retford store hasn't been on great form recently, but this morning I saw baby's bouncy chairs for £8.99. They are fairly basic, in a bright blue animal design, but they do have the headrest that makes them suitable for small babies. They also still have the moses baskets for £20-ish, and the baby aisle is well stocked generally.

I saw them yesterday in my HB, I had got these exact ones from Tesco's for the same price, had a big sticker underneath saying "warning DO NOT use in the microwave" so becareful.

I went into my local Tesco extra about four months and my sister and her family had just walked in seconds in front of me. I walked up the first aisle with them and we came across the above Thomas Draw and Drive and my sister was going to get it for my youngest nephew who had just turned three and put it by for Christmas when I said why don't I get it and put it by.

Anyway, Tesco were originally selling it a whooping '£24.99' but had it reduced to clear at £7.49 so I snapped it up - BARGAIN OR WHAT:j!

Of course the wee one was with them and kept saying - "that for me, that for me!" Kids aren't stupid - even at three!
