So where do they think you got a DTD refund ?
I'd definitely phone HQ again and go back to the store and demand that they give you YOUR phones back.
The reason I thought you left with more money was that you'd got back the SEL price and DOUBLE the overcharge. (And on their deal, assuming you wanted to buy the goods, you'd pay FULL price and NOT the SEL price - otherwise you would have got exactly what you'd originally intended)
eg.
SEL = 50
Paid = 100
Refund = 150
BUT no goods
BUT you are 50 UP on the deal
So IF you can buy the goods at 50 then you just give back the 50 they've given you.
Which is exactly the same as SEL=50 , Paid =100 and get back DTD of 100
So they allow you to buy the goods at 100 (current new price) which means you pay with just 50 of your own dosh, which equates to buying them at the original SEL price, if you see what I mean ?
Perhaps they got confused because of the half price SEL & twice the price overcharge so that DTD was the same as the total amount you had paid - and "forgot" about the other half of the amount you paid (the SEL bit - NOT the overcharge bit) and didn't add that bit to the refund total.
Perhaps you could ask them how their method (of Tesco keeps the goods)works with these examples ...
SEL=100
Paid =120
Do you get 120 refund ? ie Your money back ! (If so what the hell as DTD got to do with it ? And where is ANY compensation ?)
Do you ONLY get 40 ? (That's DTD of the overcharge but what about the other 80 you gave them ?)
Do you get 140 back ? Whch would make sense ... leaves you 20 up on the deal ... but no goods
... although if you then wanted to buy the goods you'd only be able to do so at 120 ????????
OR ....
SEL 100
Paid 400
As per previous example ..
refund 400 .... Just money back ..Where/How DTD or "compensation" ?
or 600 ? Which is DTD (2 x 300 from 400 minus 100)
or (correctly?) 700 .... Your 400 PLUS the 300 overcharge ?
If it's either of these latter 2 then you get a DIRE STRAITS !!!! :rotfl:
MONEY FOR NOTHING !
Best option for goods that you have absolutely no use for whatsoever - because you don't end up with them !!0 -

I used to be addicted to this thread when it was RnR I think about three years ago when I was pregnant but I'm sure I then read they'd changed the policy and all you got back was the difference in price. Am I right in reading that the policy has now changed? Sorry if I appear dim and the thread is self explanatory... just want to hear it straight.
TIA!
Hi Rozee..I remember our RnR talks when you were about 7 months...was it that long ago.....The policy(for wot its worth to some cs) went straight from RnR to DtD......
I only look at stuff thats been reduced to half price...so if i'm correct and they play fair(which to their credit they have been doing) always results in me getting an RnR or better.....(dont like giving Tescos any of my money)
Missed the recent ones, but there should be more in the pipeline when the next offers change.....
ps..this is a no chat thread...so better stop chatting.......Seasons Greetings to all.....Couponing....."every little hurts"

Just come back from Tesco and got AGAIN!!!!!! Fresh 'British Pork' belly joint with sage & onion stuffing.
The yellow SEL said £4.00 Kg, pack £6.00 kg.
Bar code: 0249283005214.
Be careful some packs were yellow stickered with the lower 'save £2 per Kg' stickers, but plenty of the old priced ones inbetween them.
Display untill 04/01.
Pack cost me £5.21, weighed 0.868 and got £4 DTD back.
Poor girl was so worried about working it out and said she 'hated these DTD............... Do you?'
No not really :rolleyes:

Quick question, what happens if you get a DTD opportunity when customer service is shut? Say I was overcharged at 10pm but cust service shuts at 8pm, I wait till the morning and they've changed the SEL?
It might have been better to wait until the next day and cs is open and then buy if still incorrect that way your not taking any risk iyswim.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Thank you no BOBOF label but still good at a £10 -
Just came back from Mr T's in Abingdon (Oxfordshire) and while scouting round for the Senseo, I noticed that some of the SELs in the electrical dept were out of date. Most of the goods must have had offers extended because they scanned correctly, but the Philips hand blender SEL said £29.xx reduced to £19.xx but scanned at £29.xx. I would have bought but we really didn't need one even for a tenner.
There was also a smoothie maker OH spotted (sorry no details) which said £24.XX reduced from £34.xx but scanned at the higher price.
As I didn't buy, SELs still intact.Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? He's a mile away and you've got his shoes.0
