Sorry didnt have time to post last night. Bought 3 bottles of wine for £10.00, didnt happen. I bought 2 bottles of CANTI RED@£4.29 and 1 SYDNEY COVE@£4.99 was assured you can mix bottles on promo. Was charged full price for all, overcharge £3.57 DTD £7.14. Used coupons too £100 off your favourite wine and £2.00 when you spend £8.00. In effect they gave me 14p to take them away.

Some of you may have noticed the deliberate mistake, just checking your all awake.

    Which deliberate mistake ?

The £100 (£1.00) or the fact they didn't give you 14p to take them away ?

  • Not a DTD but bought a 2 pack of girl's High School Musical socks priced at £2.50. Store advertising '20% off all clothing', checked receipt, but only took off 25p.
Kind lady at CS checked item, showing £1.25 on till...so in effect were £1 with 20% taken off......bought 3 more pairs!!

ERMMM, dont know, choose one.:o If I used £3.00 off wine in coupons and they gave me £7.14 off what should have cost £10.00, doesnt that leave me with 14p in my hand plus 3 bottles? I,m happy anyway.

Didn't get this DTD myself but overheard it while lurking in the Health and Beauty aisles at Tescos last night:D

Old Spice Original gift set is reduced from £6.49 to £4.33.
Old Spice Whitewater gift set should be reduced from £8.99 to £5.99 but had large SELS also saying £4.33.

Looks like they both have sels for £4.33 when only the original is that price.

Overheard shopper complaining to SA that the sign said £4.33 but she was charged £5.99. SA directed her to CS but also immediately removed the SELS.

The Whitewater set should give a DTD of £3.32 making it £2.67:T

Got no idea what it smells like but poss cheap Xmas presie bearing in mind its supposed to be £8.99.

Perhaps you should re-read what you posted and then decide

If you'd only been charged £10, why would anyone be giving you any DTD back at all ?

Still a good deal that I'd also be happy with !!!

    I think teedy23 means that he/she wasn't paid 14p to take it away. If teedy23 paid full price for it all (£4.29 x 2 + £4.99) the total paid was £13.57. Minus the £3 = £10.57. DTD = £7.14 so teedy paid £10.57 - £7.14 = £3.43 overall. (I think  )

  • Erdinger weiss beer 3 for £4, out of date SEL scanned at £1.61 each,
I bought 6 so DTD would have been £3.32.
However I was very generously given £4.96 refund for having to wait >5 minutes (She couldn't find the shelf it had come from)

Incidentally, weiss beer in general is the nicest beer in the world!

I'm guessing you've just downed the 3 bottles of wine then !
    :rotfl:

The wine actually cost you £3.43.
You didn't get it for free AND an extra 14p for your bus fare.

Your DTD refund of £7.14 and £3 in coupons WASN'T off the £10 the 3 bottles should have cost.
    You PAID £13.57 for the 3 bottles of wine at the till (2 x £4.29 + £4.99)

That's WHY you got a DTD of £7.14 (Twice the £3.57 you overpaid the expected £10)

    Still a cracking outcome !
