The lady scanned the second jar which charged another £1.81. Anyway this offer was not a BOGOF offer, it was an offer for 90p per jar, there was no requirement to buy two jars.
I have tried to use BOGOF offers through the self service tills in the past, each time I always get charged the full amount after inspecting the receipt.
Normal DTD then and off to CS you go.
In fact, DTD is better than free - £1.82 back per jar.
You would have paid £1.81, so dear Mr T would have paid you 1p per jar to take it away.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

So I am not the only one who has problems with the self service, problem is I tend to forget to check receipts
The reductions are taken off at the end and are shown at the bottom of the receipt. Are you looking in the right place? Its seems a bit odd that you are overcharged EVERY time.:j30/7/10:j

Is this a missprice? Should I have got some money back?....
There was an offer on for Betolli pasta sauce, it's normally £1.81 per jar, it was on offer for 90p per jar according to the ticket, I took 2 jars. Got to self service till, scanned one jar and it charged me £1.81, I told someone who seemed nervous with her explanation, corrected the till so I paid the 90p each.
Should I have got DTD??
This offer on Betolli pasta sauce is often on in my local Tesco, it's always only on one particular flavour which they change each time I've been in.
I have had this problem many many times, the self service tills do not seem to know about any half price/BOGOF offers so it charges full price always. This has happend to me on Coca Cola bottle offers where I ended up just paying full price.
If you had not noticed until after you had paid then yes you would be entitled to DTD.0 -
Just wondered if we should be having a new thread now as this one is over 1000 posts????0

what's the point?.. you'll just get the same prats asking the same questions.... "what's DTD?", "what's a SEL?", "shall we have a conversation about someone who has pointed out the thread rules and made us look like tits?"
I know the rules are bornig, but they are there for a reason. It wouldn't be anywhere near 1000 posts if people just did as they were told.Hating Hastings Direct!0 -
There is a vent board if you need to continue your incessant whinging rather than clog up what is essentially a misprice thread or is it ok for you just not others?
Sorry to be gettiing between your greed and reward, wind your neck in, as long as there is no misprice discussion thread then the discussion will take place here. All you ever seem to do is !!!!! and gripe about misplaced posts whilst doing EXACTLY what you are criticising others for.

Well said, but be careful. It's a rule that we have to be nice and polite to everybody, even when they haven't bothered to follow the guidelines.

Ok no need to bite my head off....it is supposed to be a rule of the forums that a new thread is started after 1000 posts. I love breaking rules so let's not bother........
but just so I don't break the hidden no chat rule on this thread which you seem to want to adher to - ...Minced lamb SEL £3 Pkt £3.300 -
