    Camp rock ext edition DVD
on sale in Tesco at present in the night in promo bins with stickers on saying £4
    This is scanning at £7
At double the difference for overcharges you get £6 back and so dvd cost me £1 tonight
  • First post so if in wrong place apologies
Just got back from Tesco in Loughborough
From an end stack I picked up 2 multipacks of 4 Princes Tuna @3.00
Got to fish section and saw same tuna on offer at half price down from 1.38 a tin to 69p a tin .
Hey presto 4 tins at 69p comes to 2,76.and so I put the multi packs and picked 6 tins .
After going through the checkout found the tins had been charged at 1.38 each.
Got my twice the difference refund 8.28 and so my six tins of Tuna were free.
The assistant said it is meant to be a current national offer ie the dates on the shelf edge sticker were correct and the price should be the offer 69p

Well said, but be careful. It's a rule that we have to be nice and polite to everybody, even when they haven't bothered to follow the guidelines.

Watch the usual suspects slaughter me now for expressing my opinion in the way that I see fit.

Now there you go again, where's your misprice? so keen to criticise others but happy to use the thread to chat when it suits your purposes, now you can point your grubby little finger at me for being "a usual suspect" why don't you just quit your whinging? Misprices were being posted but you had to revive the dispute didn't you?

Checked this offer but all three types (in oil, in brine and in spring water) scanned correctly at 69p in my local.

Not a great deal of money but if your desperate...
Many of the smaller Tescos are selling Trident gum and the SEL says 49p (or 48p in some cases) but scan through at 51p. Its only the Metro/Extra/smaller Ts where they tend to charge more for an item.

Bought some submarine rolls from my local Express

SEL said 2 for £1.20 and the packs were £0.96 (I think).

    Was charged £1.02 x 2 = £2.04.

Asked for double the difference and was given without a problem £1.68 back.

The duty manager then removed the SEL it should have expired in December 2008!

  • Abba gold CD stickered at £3.00 went through the till at £6.00 - double the difference given so a free CD for my four year old (they are doing a mothers day assembly at school and are singing Mama Mia hence the CD - he is driving me up the wall with the wrong words).

The CD was also further up the aisle priced at £6.00.

Does Double the Difference policy apply if you are overcharged on a BOGOF offer?
