Okay I am going to get shot down lol!! If the SEL expires 03/02/09 how do you get DTD back? This expiry date has been confusing me surely £1.79 was the correct price then? Is it Because they have left the offer sign up?
    Thanks

Can't take credit for this as my friend told me about it!

Sally Hansen nail products are on 342. But the sel's are saying ' any 3 for £2'. With some of it priced from £6 to £8 then its a good dtd!
Slight tussle getting my dtd, but they seen the error of their ways and coughed up.:D

Is this a missprice? Should I have got some money back?....

There was an offer on for Betolli pasta sauce, it's normally £1.81 per jar, it was on offer for 90p per jar according to the ticket, I took 2 jars. Got to self service till, scanned one jar and it charged me £1.81, I told someone who seemed nervous with her explanation, corrected the till so I paid the 90p each.

    Should I have got DTD??

This offer on Betolli pasta sauce is often on in my local Tesco, it's always only on one particular flavour which they change each time I've been in.

I have had this problem many many times, the self service tills do not seem to know about any half price/BOGOF offers so it charges full price always. This has happend to me on Coca Cola bottle offers where I ended up just paying full price.

Perhaps I misread your post, but it seems you brought the attention of cs to the £1.81 as the first jar went through.

This will always happen - it's only when the second product goes through that the discount is triggered; this still doesn't show until you look on your receipt , just below the total owing.

Adjustments of the BOGOF, 3 for 2, 2nd at half-price kinds are then itemised line by line and an adjusted total follows.
If your offers haven't kicked in, THAT(and not before)is the time to run to CS for a refund.

The lady scanned the second jar which charged another £1.81. Anyway this offer was not a BOGOF offer, it was an offer for 90p per jar, there was no requirement to buy two jars.

I have tried to use BOGOF offers through the self service tills in the past, each time I always get charged the full amount after inspecting the receipt.

If it isn't a bogof offer then you would have been due a dtd. Which in this case equates for all your money back. Always pay your bill and sort it out with cs later :D
I just wonder how many unsuspecting customers Mr T rips off each year?
