Picked up from Trongate, Glasgow, earlier - L'Oreal Studio Matt & Messy Shine-free Salt Spray (texturising spray, no greasiness) 150ml. (Seems to get very mixed reviews, uh-oh).
And, saw this on HUKD earlier http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nescafe-vanilla-latte-irish-cream-latte-gingerbread-latte-8-sachets-1-poundland-2503569 Nescafe Cafe Menu 8 x 21g (can see on that thread there's also Latte Vanilla, Caramel Latte, Coconut Latte and Skinny Latte varieties out there too).
Also saw 8 x packs of Nestle Pic A Pac Variety Pack (£2 at Tesco) http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=251990122 - their version of Kellogg's Variety Pack. Includes: Curiously Cinnamon 30g, Honey Cheerios 30g, Cheerios 25g, Coco Shreddies 40g, Cookie Crisp 30g, Nesquik 30g and Original Shreddies 40g.0 -
Trongate, Glasgow Poundland has 2 for £1 Wall's lollies lip balms.
This store has Calippo (Orange or Lemon Lime), Split, Starship 4, Twister, but Google Images tells me there's also Mini Milk (milk, chocolate or strawberry), Funny Feet or Feast!
Great for stockings! Will try to find reviews!
Here's a sort-of review of Feast, Mini Milk, Twister, Funny Feet, Split and Starship 4: http://bunnycookie.com/walls-lip-smackers/
Review of the Calippo varieties (only saw Orange and Lemon Lime in my Poundland, apparently there's also a Strawberry Tropical). Calippo Lip Smackers lip balm review: http://bunnycookie.com/calippo-review/0 -
Time for a follow up, comments in boldThese are great and we've been using them for years, great size and pack quantity for the price. When they went OOS for awhile we struggled to find a decent like for like replacement:
http://www.poundland.co.uk/home-and-pet/kitchen/food-wrap-and-storage/tie-handle-food-bags-100-pack
My last lot of pegs were £1 from Asda, lasted years, have not been impressed with these & don't expect them to last long:
http://www.poundland.co.uk/plastic-clothes-pegs-48-12-free
They are as flimsy as I suspected, won't be buying again. Had much better cheap pegs
Very decent results with these ice cube bags, but they are wasteful. Spotted in my local this week plastic trays with silicone bottoms to pop out the cubes easily. Planning to try when bags are used up
http://www.poundland.co.uk/pack-of-40-ice-cube-bags
Going back to the bags reluctantly after the trays didn't impress me. Cubes only pop out easily if they've been half filled- tiny ice cubes mean 1/3 or even 1/2 the tray needs to be used a time. One tray also cracked quite soon after we started using them. I think the bags will be easier if the top row is not quite full. After a week of using these:

I see no reason to go back to my normal Superdrug ones (£2.50 for 100).
Was very unimpressed by the "tommy walsh" paintbrushes
http://www.poundland.co.uk/tommy-walsh-paint-brush-set-5pc-pack
Even for cheapies they are rubbish.
I ended up using them a lot  And they just needed to be worn in I think as been pleased with them ever since
Got a mini roller set to try next and a few Charlie Dimmock Gardening tools which look good.
Did not get on with the roller set at all, pretty sure that was user error though! :rotfl:
Charlie Dimmock secateurs were probably the worst £land ones i've tried. Did the job but flimsy and wore out quickly. Gloves excellent, very hard wearing, did develop a hole but after loads of hard use. I will be sewing to re-use
One new addition:
http://www.poundland.co.uk/jane-asher-cup-cake-cases-150-pack-pink
Jury is still out. Good price but they are not a great fit for my standard muffin tin & more than one has come off in bits when I tried to remove the cake. The Kitchen Corner ones were a perfect fit but it seems the Jane Asher range has replaced them.0 -
I can comment on the Tommy Walsh 9" twin pack roller set http://imgur.com/ET3xqNb
Typically of cheapo paint rollers, it suffers from the dreaded moulting and I found myself picking "bits" off my wall! Maybe a thorough washing of these rollers might garner better results?0 -
Has anyone had much luck with the condensation boxes that apparently add fragrance?
I bought a few as I have problems with condensation even with every window in my home wide open (which I can't do anyway for reasons I wont bore you with).
I get quite a fair amount of water (it takes about 4-6 weeks for the thing to fill) but no fragrance. I even tried a different scent per room but still nothing. And I still get condensation on all my windows.
I'm sure there are bigger things to worry about in life, but I just wondered if anyone else had any issues or other things to try that wont break the bank (properly designated decent dehumidifiers are £100+)0 -

They work just fine, the important thing for me is that they absorb the moisture. I could care less about the fragrance. In fact, although they say they are fragranced, none of them have ever smelt. I'd rather they didn't. If you've got real issues with condensation then you need to get a proper dehumidifier.Minimalist

Dunno if it's a common thing but just got a poundshop email saying they have Yankee Candles for £1 ... Dunno if they're usually there

It's for Poundshop.com0 -
I've been buying from Poundshop.com for a long time now - it was originally competing with the HereForADay site owners' HereForAPound. Poundworld were involved in the beginning with Poundshop.com but sold out to Poundland owners - who joined forces with their rival a year or two ago*.
HereForAPound was always the better site of the two at the time, I thought. Poundshop.com is great - but I've had no end of trouble with them with my last few orders. Items consistently missing, I've lost count the amount of times I've complained. The parcel before last went AWOL. Got a new order last week and the parcel was left at my door, wide open (!), and again, with pieces missing.
Also the Yankee Candles on offer at Poundshop.com are Simply Home, some say they're not as strong and don't have as much oil in them as regular Yankee. If you want true value for money, the Simply Home tarts are just as good as their bigger brother (sold, funnily enough, 2 for £1 at Poundworld in store at the moment).
Sorry for going slightly off-topicbut it isn't really the right thread for this e-tailer anyway - I understand if it gets deleted/moved by a Mod.
*I think I'm remembering that correctly - it was discussed on the Poundshop Wars BBC programme.
Edit: Also, "Simply Home" has now been rebranded "Home Inspiration". http://www.waxaddicts.co.uk/newsblog/4584012731/Bye-Bye-Yankee-Candle-Simply-Home..../108365690
