Went into pound world today and they have the Aussie 250ml long hair shampoo and conditioner, 250ml for 250ml so I thought this was a good price :D

Wasn't sure whether or not this should go in the poundland one and can't find a pound world one.

So if this is wrong place, apologises!

I went into my local poundland store today and they had pots of Lucky Charms cereal. In any store that sells american food they are normally between £2-£3 for one of these pots so i was thrilled to find them and treated myself to a few lol
  • Apologies if already mentioned, recently bought some Sinful Colours nail varnishes in poundland, these are usually sold in Boots, great dupes for China Glaze! I bought some nice pastel colours, also Metcalfes Skinny Topcorn is great 4 bags for a pound. This was in Huddersfield, HTH :A

Picked up a roll of wire netting yesterday - 150cm x 60cm (the 'holes' looked to be 2.5 x 2.5 but I haven't measured them and that measurement wasn't stated on the label). Good value if you just want a smallish amount. In B&M the same sized roll was £2.99!

Not sure if they always sell that but never noticed it in my local store before and just happened to need some. Result! :)

yes good quality if the same as last year. i used it to dog proof my gate and it worked fine and hasn't rusted at all. a third the cost of anywhere else when we bought it!

Poundland seem to have started selling Lithium AA batteries. Packed singly they may look expensive but the Energiser ones are usually £7 for 4 (£3.99 for two at Argos) so are actually a good price if they are any good. However the Energiser ones claim on the pack that they last up to 8 times as long as Alkaline whereas the Poundland ones only claim 3 times.

Would be worth trying a set in a digital camera to see how they perform. I had a Samsung digital camera which used AA's and lithium used to give me 600 to 800 pics where alkalines only gave me around 60 to 70. Lithium batteries in slow drain items like clocks or remotes should last 10 years or so and, in my opinion, smoke alarms should always have lithium batteries in them.

I hope they add AAA soon as I use quite a few of that size in my bike lights.

One thing I don't like about the Poundland ones is that that the packaging is the same size as a pack of 4 so buying 4 batteries means that there is 300% too much packaging! I'm sure they could have improved that somehow.

    Ian.

I looked out for these in my local £L but didn't buy as I wondered why they would even be 50p. What have I missed? What is so special that they are worth so much.
