Just for info, because I'm a nail addict....
If you use a Shatter polish straight on to the nail (i.e. not over the top of another colour) it wont shatter. You can then top coat it and get a nice, shiny solid colour0 -

Thanks for that. I had to try it but I will add that you have to be really careful not to overlap at all or the polish seems to get draggy and doesn't lay right. I don't have any top coat so will go out and get some tomorrow to give this a go.
I've done my toes and I have done each one a different colour... I need to grow up! :rotfl:0 -

Seems obvious when you know but this is the best way to apply polish:
Load up your brush well and follow the above. It does drag slightly with a shatter because of the consistency, but once topcoated it will be fine.0 -
Thanks Pulliptears, I was a bit gutted that these were shatters as I thought they were so pretty on their own as a normal polish. Will definitrly give this a try x0

I needed that thanks, i'm a bit of a tomboy and not used to wearing nail polish. My daughter saw I had painted every nail a different colour and just tutted at me.... I don't care! :rotfl:0 -

I think the first one is just a before pic, the second is base coat.0 -

I've become fascinated with the exchanges about nail polish application and referred to this in a new thread in the Beauty section - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/62950794#Comment_62950794 .
I did that as it seems to have wider interest than just the Poundland thread.0
