A note re: the wonderful domed cake/baking carriers.

I laud these often, but Cambridge £land had an even better version today:

[a] it is straight-sided
it is flat-bottomed.

Excellent as the previous form is, it has bevelled sides and a base with a swirl pattern moulded in. I always cut and foil-cover some cardboard[old carton etc.]to give a flat base - no longer necessary.

Quality is far superior too - heavy rigid plastic - even more of a winner than before.

I got one of the old ones and decorated in beads and craft gems for a friends xmas present- I did wonder about the design pattern on the bottom, the new ones sound great.

My Mum has the old style cake carrier which we've used a lot between us for birthdays, will look out for the new one if anyone has a pic that would be great.

If anyone is still looking for ideas on removing sticky labels ... try cooking oil. before Christmas I bought a small toolbox from Pound*and and tried absolutely everything... Looked for ideas on the web and came up with cooking oil... Amazing... You need to leave on overnight if possible and mine then just wiped off

Head and Shoulders 170ml anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner 2in1 classic clean.
