Poundworld in Darlington has a sign up saying that carrier bags now cost 1p & 2p depending on size. They are putting it down to the VAT increase. Seems unfair especially if someone is buying loads of stuff, hope the staff are allowed some discretion.0 -

Is poundworld and poundland the same company? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Went to Poundland in Leeds today and picked up:
2 Grafix puzzles, one a memory game and alphabet game
The Amityville Horror dvd
Deception DVD
Spotted Jimmy Carr and Russell Brand dvds.
There was a lot of Palmolive bath stuff, Beechams medication (one of which was in Boots at nearly £7!!), Johnsons and Tommee Tippee baby items.
Could have gone mad but purposefully only took £5.00 in cash in with me!0
