I was just wondering - is the branded makeup in Poundland (Maybelline, Rimmel, Max Factor) etc. actually genuine? Never seen these cosmetics before in my local Poundland (apart from the unknown brand type) and I was wondering if the should-be-expensive branded makeup is any good... if anyone would be kind enough to answer?0

I've bought it before and it is 100% genuine. Poundland often buy in unwanted/leftover stock or end of ranges that need to be gone to make room for the new ones.0

Yeah it's genuine it's just stock that the company has either discontinued or changed the look of usually - they wouldn't be allowed to sell it under those brand names if it wasn't.;)
It's all been really good stuff so far, particulary the Rimmel and Maybeline eyeshadows and lippies, the Olay face washes and Dove tanning creams.:T
I still like their unbranded foundation though because the colour is a good match for my skin and I can't wear Max Factor as I have an allergy to it for some reason, which is a shame!
The undbranded glitter liquid eyeliner is also fab too :rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0 -

The Rimmel eyeshadows in my local store are the exact same items as in my local Boots - same packaging, just less choice of coloursNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
The make up items are often products that have been for sale in other countries, that is why there are sometimes things we have never seen in the UK.0

I went to the one in Belfast on Saturday and got Sally Hanson Wrap Nails in a pale rose colour. As I'm trying to look after my nails this was great!! I also got some office stuff as I'm doing some admin work now and again for my brother as he tries to set up his business. Got a laminator from freecycle last week and got the laminating sheets for it. Only thing is by the time I'm finished it turns into the 20 pound shop!!0

Completely agree about the twenty pound shop! Thank you to whoever posted about the cycling stuff being in - I got one of the repair kits and a battery powered reflective armband in Darlington yesterday.
I also got Lord Sheraton leather food (made by Dylon), economist Tim Harford's The Logic of Life (looks intriguing), spotted loads of lovely Timotei shampoos/conditioners and brand name cold sore cream.
I bought another plughole snake, had bought Poundworld's version which wasn't as good. Lots of Bill Oddie bird food - going for a lot more in Wilko's.
They now have rechargeable batteries too, not seen previously. Also the large cleaning sponges that disintegrate as you use them, only seen these in Poundworld up to now, but now part of Poundland's Busy Bear range.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
hi,
was really please today i was in our £1 shop (not poundland) and they had small metal star shaped "pie cases" packs of 36. (i have been trying to work out how i was going to turn round tea-light candles into stars for my birthday and these have saved me loads of problems - mel round 1s into these pie cases and allow to re-set!!!)
plus i got a roll of purple hologram paper which again is for making table decorations for my 30th!!!due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
