I picked up a good academic diary in Poundland yesterday. They've got quite a few decent ones. Good, as I usually spend between £5 - £10 on them in WHSmith.
Debt: Started at £4780, now at £4190 :)
Comp Wins 2014: None yet :(
  • Forgot to say also, I bought two Strawberry scented candles for £1 and they smell beautiful.....the are a very light coloured pink colour....the volatile size and the perfume is really nice.....not cheap smelling at all......

The look and smell wonderful in the bathroom:T

love it. :rotfl: Think maybe votive size? :p

Loving the mental image though :D

I got the Look In annual. Children of the 80's will remember this as a child's version of the radio & tv times mag. Spent a nostalgic afternoon going through it. Had forgotten about some of the shows - Metal Mickey, Supergran & Chips. For those too young to remember Look In, there were comic strips of some of the tv shows & interviews with current pop stars.

Picked up 90 dental flossers in Poundland yesterday. Tried and they seem good quality. Didn't snap and the harp allows access to difficult to reach areas. Also has a tooth pick at the other end. Seen similar ones in Superdrug and Boots but they are almost £2 for only 32.

Picked up Skullduggery Pleasant hardcover the other day seems quite good, but noticed todat that they have a sign up 3 books,cd's or dvd's for £2 so worth watching out for that one. Did spot Let Him Have it on DVD which someone might want.

did see the Lyclear stuff too as mentioned earlier - expiry 05/11 so not a huge shelf life.

also academic diaries - 2 days per page - which i nearly didn't take a 2nd look at till the cashier pointed out it runs August 2010-December 2010. then January 2011-December 2011. Most unusual - so I got one

  • Just been in the Bradford poundland and they have:
Wartner Verruca remover the freezing treatment 12 applications pack including file, supposed to cure them after one use the same pack is £9.99 in boots and even more in superdrug and lloyds...
    And
Lyclear headlouse treatment i didn't bother reading this one but i saw the same packet online for £11.99

they also have a range of femfresh products which i understand are not too cheap :)

Cant stand Poundland , nothing has a price on it and im fed up asking a member of staff all the time how much things are.

Actually, it's far worse than you think. Even the checkout staff in my branch don't know the prices - all the stuff I bought yesterday was put through at just a pound, presumably just to avoid having to call someone over to ask.

The Lyclear stuff has almost a year of shelf life 05/11 (May 2011), that will get you through most of the next school year!!

Even when you buy it from the chemist the shelf life isn't very long.
