I think the milk is pretty good value, £1 for 2 litres, I hope they don't discontinue it.
(Most branches of Lidl and Aldi do a slightly larger milk for £1.09 too.)Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0 -

I saw them today and they are very nice, they also had some with pictures of cocktails. My Hummingbird Tin with the cupcake cards was delivered today, and I will say it and the Poundland cards look similar -- but the Poundland ones do not have the recipe on the back of each card. Just an FYI for anyone trying to decide between getting the 3.99 tin at Book People or getting the ones at Poundland (or if you've already paid for the tin, at least you know you've gotten a little extra for your money, lol).0 -
I wish they would stop selling maltesers, they are too tempting at £1 a box0

sugar is good value and the tea bags. You have to watch some of the prices as they are not always cheaper. Winalot dog treats are good value. Sometimes they have the finnish dishwasher rinse aid. The cheesy wotsits are cheeper than tesco (three for £3.00 in Tesco) but our PL has 8 in a bag and not six like Tesco. And we have loads of the weight watchers stuff that is worth it.
When you see the branded stuff you have to buy cos it goes fast.
I got nutragena Norwegian hand cream (£2.27 in shops).
I agree with the maltesers ad the haribo sweets!!!! ANd they are by the door, that is so unfair tempted as soon as you walk in.
I could live in poundland!!!
But some are better than others the wood green branch had leather belts.0 -
Thanks for the milk tip, Wishfulcomper.lady_wolfs_head wrote: »sugar is good value and the tea bags. You have to watch some of the prices as they are not always But some are better than others the wood green branch had leather belts.
Not everything's cheaper in these pound like shops. For example, cotton buds and small tubes of toothpaste. Often cheaper in a supermarket or Savers etc.
Cotton buds - although a large container for £1 in these pound shops, you can find them for about 40p in Savers for a smaller size which might be all you need if only an occasional user like to clean tape heads or around the kitchen sink.Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0 -
