Hi everyone I havent been on here for a good few days, Ive had a pretty crappy time of late, my darling dad lost his battle with a long illness on saturday morning. Even though he was poorly it was still a massive shock how quickly it happened, but I was with him all the way through and it was very peaceful. Anyway im in a bit of a limbo at the minute and dont really know what to do. I already lost my mam to cancer just over 9 years ago, and im only 32. So just to take my mind of things Im catching up on the last 30 pages or so ive missed. It really is great just to think about something else for a little while, you all make me smile with your little jokes and cute pics, so keep up the good work ladies your helping me without even knowing it. lol x

Apologies for being non boots related but I wanted you to know that you are cheering me up!

Oh Lupyloo,I am so sorry to hear this. It must be so very hard to lose a second parent.I lost my Mum 5 years ago and still miss her dreadfully especially with my recent breast cancer surgery.I just needed my Mum.I still have my Dad and cannot contemplate him not being there!
I hope we provide a distraction for you. A good friend(who has been through cancer) said to me when I was diagnosed ,try to concentrate 100% on something you are doing even just for short spells. It did help even if it was reading MSE or shopping.
Big hugs to you:grouphug:

Lupyloo sorry to hear of your loss..

I have a quick question I wondered if any of you could help with? I've dug out my Boots coupons from the summer mailing and also realised i haven't handed in my healthclub 1/2 price registration coupon yet either (which i will do today).

In the summer mailing i've got a "£2.50 off £10" spend -is that before or after the 50% off? I need some vitamins and wondering whether i need to get £10 worth or £20 worth from that list
http://www.bootshealthclub.com/half_price_list.php

Also the "£5 off no7 cosmetics" - can that definitely not be used on suncare or skincare? wondered if anyone had tried..

Thanks so much in advance ladies (or guys!) xx
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! If helpful please thank me Won 5* holiday,£100,gym,BAFTA vip,£75,tan,soundbar,signed cookbook, tix, duplo, facewash,Bodyshop,Lindt,Prevage,Everiche, disney, dvd, supplements, perfume,Topshop makeup + other prizes :)

I also forgot to add that I need some of the Sanctuary Warming Microbrasion Face Scrub thingy - this is quite honestly the best thing I've ever used, like having a spa facial :D Wondered if anyone knows of ACM vouches or tillspits / offers etc that would be good to use to get this as last time i got it on 342 but no idea when that offer's on again..

Thanks again everybody.. xx

• Can any body tell me if there is anything i can use both my 500 points on no7 skincare and 500 points on no7 sun facial protection ?
It runs out tommoro and i don't really need anything but i thought if it means getting 1000 points on something then it would be rude not too.
Lupyloo sending big hugs your way, really feel for you at this sad time.
I was thinking maybe a few of us might have some embarasing experience we could let others have a giggle at our expense by writing it here. I will start it off ( trying to keep it boots related)
I won a raffle at work (boots) I was really happy because it was just what i wanted ( or so i thought) a heated eyelash curler. There was no box but i just thought oh well i will use it for myself once i put batteries in.
I was going out that night so thought i would try it out. I got showered and did hair. Flicked switch on and thought oh it makes a strange noise. Anyway held it up to eyes and thought what the hell is that. Yes you guessed it. Not an eyelash curler at all but a blooming nose and ear trimmer. Yes as i held it up to my lashes it chopped them straight off. What a disaster all my friends nearly peed themselves with laughter when i told them and i had to wear false eyelahes for wks.
So anyone else had any embarassing things happen so i don't look like the only idiot

And does anyone know if the mag voucher for Time Delay beeps when you buy the men's shaving balm?

Didn't beep when I did it on SS till so should be fine.

Mega snip re child proofing

So given up

LOL he sounds like my DS. DS understands firm "no", stops what he is doing, looks at me, cries for 3 seconds then does whatever it is again. At moment we have stand off over his alternating between removing card out of the NTL box and scratching the LCD TV screen. Sometimes he gives TV good scratch with the NTL card.....

Keeping it Boots-ish related, I haven't tried Boots safety stuff but imagine it's same as John Lewis kit. My DS pulled corners off coffee table within seconds. If I put the cupboard locks on I know he will just pull them harder. He's very willful!!!!!!
