hi, just wondered if anyone knows if nottingham boots sell hairdryers???? Need to kill some time tomorrow morning while DD has her operation. Have decided to go to boots and treat her with my remaining points, dont want to just sit around for 4 or 5 hrs waiting. Got to leave in a bit, crying already - youngest daughter just pleaded for me to not go.
There is a cybercafe in the hospital so, fingers crossed, will log in later for half and hour or so.
Keeping it a bit more bootsing - have packed DD lots of goodies from boots - model me and some really lush shower gel in a ted baker bag. Plus loads of baby wipes. Many thanks for all the tips on here, your all fabulous.

Hope everything goes well for your DD. I know how you feel. My daughter was in hosp not this weekend but last. Shes 2 and a half and it tore me up.

Cant help with the Boots Nottingham though as its not my neck of the woods.

    Take care
    x

Nuttyp, hope everything goes well. Sorry, from London, so cannot help.

Be thinking of you. Let's hope you find some bargain clearance in Boots, so make your points go further. x

Hi - if you are going into the city centre, Victoria Centre has a huge electrical section upstairs - usually with an SA advising if you need help. Broadmarsh also has a smaller range. Riverside retail park has a small range too - but wouldn't think there would be much choice. Where did you end up staying in Nottingham in the end?!!

    Bump

    I have:
An extra voucher for 1500 points on an Oral B toothbrush

    I'd like:
A couple of £4 or £5 off Olay vouchers
    OR
One Olay money off voucher plus something else, like: money off Pampers or extra points on Pantene or the new till spit when it comes out or some such. An Olay voucher is the main thing I want, lol.

    Anyone want to swap?

No no...it is mainly useless, trust me. Like why would I still remember the prices and stock numbers from the breweries from 2001-2005(4 changes a year) years price lists? I'm an odd one! :o

But...you have given me a good idea for next Saturday :j

I haven't worked for BT for 8 years but I still remember dialling codes!

Lol I was a Publican/ Licensee for my sins...could understand if I worked for the brewery, not just did a weekly order from a list of over 1,000 items pmsl

Funny things brains...shame I can never remember what I have walked upstairs for...but think that is what happens post children :rotfl:

Nuttyp... Good luck for your daughters op, but more for you than her as I'd be in bits if it was my little fella and doubt that would lessen whether it was at 15 months or 40yrs  :D

Sounds like you are spoiling her rotten with her bags of bits and trying to get her a pressie too, i'm sure she will be fine...although if you spoil her this much she may want to go again :D

But it came back the next day, lol. I know I'm still getting ACM vouchers for it. Here's what it says on the Kiosk offers section at Boots:

Receive 200 points when you spend £10 or more, in a single transaction, on travel healthcare.
    (Offer starts 30 July 2008)

Ok, don't feel so bad now... just checked .com, 3 for 2 on flight socks, boots and other brands is still on. Oh but I bought full price, not reduced, so cannot tell you if it works on reduced.

Ok You cannot use 50points when you buy any Boots own brand hosiery or socks voucher as this will beep.
You can use receive 200 points when you spend £10 or more, on travel healthcare, hand this one over FIRST.
Used magazine voucher for 300 AC points when you buy Boots flight socks, did not beep.

I saved £12.99, as 3 for 2, and got 500 points from magazine and ACM, and usual points.

I think I had an ACM voucher for 3 for 2 on flight socks too, but barcode must have been same, as SA said till beeped and she couldn't accept it.

So if you have any of these, check the barcodes.

    HTH.

Has anyone else bought the childproof locks and corner guards from Boots? Did you find that your DC was pulling the corner guards off the tables, and pulling the toilet lock off the toilet?

Just wondering if the glue is not that strong, or DS is TOO strong. We have only had items on for a week, and the table has no corners left, and the toilet lid is down, but he pulls on the lock as he has pulled it off the toilet. Also, now crawling and Standing, so stands at toilet trying to lift lid up.

If you saw my flat, you would understand why DS gets where he does, the doors aren't secure, so he can open all except Shower room! I can shut inner door of living room to toilet, but he has worked out by banging it hard enough, it will open inward and he pulls it open, and crawls off to the toilet. The toilet door opens inwards, and doesn't latch, so you cannot shut it and it stays shut. DS just pushes it open!
