Best unlimited Broadband deal for a BT-ONLY area?

I'm in an area where I can only have a BT line, with max speeds of up to 2MB.
Am currently with AOL (but out of contract) and pay £14.99, but they won't reduce it!
Does anyone know of any deals at the moment that cost less, have unlimited downloads, and would be available in my area?
Or similarly, does anyone know of any websites that might tell me if/when any provider might be unbundling in my area in the future?
Thanks in advance

samknows.com will tell you about whats due to be unbundled
but unlimited is difficult to find, and usually you will see unlimited* - meaning that a fair use policy exists - so I could start an ISP and say unlimited* broadband for £10 a month, but in the FUP I could say 1GB usage per month0 -

I found my exchange on there, and it simply says which ones are unbundled, and for the rest says "Not available", which I assume means there are no plans to unbundle?!I guess they would specify a date if any were planning to unbundle?

A fair use policy would be fine, and in reality, a download limit of, say, 15GB or more would be fine too.
The problem seems to be that all ISPs only offer good deals to those people who don't have to use BT! Those of us that have no choice are losing out0 -

Yes, that's rightherman2811 wrote: »Those of us that have no choice are losing out
Well, yes and no... we have a lot more choice with a BT line - sometimes - in the case of Sky, you can still signup to the package you want, but at a higher price.0 -

So which ones are unbundled then?0 -

Examples............ Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

In my exchange, only Edge Telecom is unbundled, and they don't seem to have any good deals.
All other ISPs therefore have to go through BT, so generally when I check availability on the relevant website, they mostly say the offer is not available in my area!0 -
Examples............
Well AOL have an offer at the moment for £9.99... when I phone up to try and get this, they say it's not available in my area, and the best offer they can give me is £14.99 on an 18 month contract. As I'm currently paying £14.99 with them and not an contract, it doesn't exactly make any sense to sign up for that does it!0 -
So why not use BT? Their "unlimited" is 40GB.0

They are more expensive than the £14.99 I currently pay! I'm obviously hoping to pay less0 -
Have you tried AOL a few times ? - As what one person won't offer, another may...
I've been on a £9.99 package with them for almost 2 years, and up until about a month ago, my exchange was BT only. - No LLU.
