 Can you or your fellow complaints guru uktim29 correct me if I'm mistaken but did I say "sue them" or "threaten them with Small Claims Court" ?

I think there is a teeny weeny bit of difference

I'll ask my question again then, threaten them with the small claims court for what?!?!

You don't know if theres anything the op can claim for. Half the threads on here turn out to have the op's miss-understanding something, not communicating, refusing to take reasonable offers just for the sake of some principle they've dreamt up. How do you know thats not the case here?

There so far is nothing that suggests the op can actually go to the small claims court.

  • Hi Guys & Girls,

Well What can I say, I purchased a Cooke & lewis kitchen @ the Paisley Branch, total price £8,775 which was paid up front. I placed the order on the 23rd May 2009 (sat) spoke to the sales chap, who was nice helpfull etc, anyway picked the kitchen with the lights and flooring etc... the designer came out to the house to take the mesures etc, job done....you would think eh. the designer confirmed that the company would contact us within 3 working days to get an install date, the company is called (DSP) who are based in Hillington. The process, confimred by B&Q that they send the order by computer to Hillington, however today, its 3 weeks from the order & not one person @ B&Q noticed that the order was not completed. this is when the fun started, I spoke to the designer who said -any problems give me call, which i did, I called him on Saturday, sunday, monday & tuesday, he didnt bother his backside -nice of him eh, I phoned the store who kindly kept cutting me off, I got through and spoke to a women who said she would call me back, guess what? she lost my phone number. I phoned back later & spoke to the chap who ordered the kitchen, I explained that all i wanted a date to install .i.e. 14 September 2009, that's 3months notice, they couldnt even confirm to that date. I told them to shove their kitchen ******* NEVER GO TO B&Q PAISLEY. sorry rant over. can anyone recomend a good company to get a kitchen???

    Matthew ...

This email confuses me .... you have cancelled the order ... will you get your money back?

Did you wait three weeks before calling B&Q ... when you called the designer .... could they have been on holiday?

Have you contact details for the installation company ... could you not call them ....

Hi, i am having trouble with B&Q,

I ordered my new bathroom on the 4th April 2009,

Finally recieved an installation date on the 11th of may (the installation date being the 20th July 2009)

All of my bathroom was delivered last week, which i am having trouble storing in my small one bedroom flat as it takes up so much room!!!!

Today i recieved a call to say that DSP KENT had pulled out of fitting for B&Q and that the bathroom may not be fitted next week.

Now, my partner has had next week booked off work since May (which cannot be changed) and we were looking forward to finally having the new bathroom fitted (being that it is Friday the 17th July it was a shock to have a call to say it may not happen at such short notice!!!)

I have read through other people's posts and wondered if they have had any luck with claiming compensation and which addresses turned out to be the correct ones to write to!

    ANY help would be appreciated!

You can complain to either address. Erskine is the contact centre and they'll log the complaint for you, or you can write to the Eastleigh address and they'll log it too.
Both places will work together so you won't benefit by complaining to Kingfisher in London, as that will be passed down to B&Q.

You may as well write to either of the addresses as posted above. :)
