A Kenyan recipe fed to schoolchildren in rural areas is as follows:
Take maize. Take beans. Boil in salted water over a wood stove (remember no electricity except for diesel generators).
Serve in a bowl.
I am not making this up, I promise.

No, you may not.
You are a very angry gentleman, MrB, who gets upset by little things such as this thread still running and by people who post about stuff you don't agree with (ok, carolt).
Go get yourself some stress relief / anger management.0 -

And if you do home school, are you required to follow a syllabus etc and be tested etc? Probably not, but I've no idea.
I have a vague notion that you have to satisfy the local education authority that you are providing a proper education for the children.
I know teachers at private schools don't have to be qualified. Some of my teachers didn't have a PGCE....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I know of one HE child who could not settle in college as she found it hard to sit down and work to a timetable - she is now doing voluntary work overseas. Equally though, I know many who have gone to college, on to uni and are in 'normal' employment.A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
