I think that he may be suffering from a pang of guilt. He's currently hanging the mirror I bought for DD bedroom. That was bought 2 weeks ago. Soon to be followed by the CM detector we bought a good 4 months ago.

That'll probably tire him out for the rest of the day though :rotfl:

    OMG -

if you leave them on your ISP server won't they then sort out the problem?

    Did the techies help?

(I have just been asked, by DD, why I'm always on this - DS was heard to say 'That's the OLD FOGEYS version of MSN'.

    I do love my kids!;)

Was that fear of the Valli DIY list, then?

I've got to repressure my central heating system because I have put the radiator back so the pressure dropped!

    And that's just the start...

As ever Sarahshattered offers brilliant advice!

We are the scaffolding that holds our families together - whatever their structure/make up. But OMG doesn't a little bit of appreciation go a long way!

Thanks Valli That's very sweet of you to say. :kisses3:

    And OMG YES IT DOES!!!!!

A massive difference. As does being moaned at.... if anything would make me down tools it'd be my OH giving me a hard time about what I haven't done. When we were first together he criticised the way I ironed his shirts...... I've never ironed one since. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If I leave on my ISP server 'real' emails won't get through and, given the volume, it'd quite possibly cause the ISP server to fail (they've had problems before with the server going down because it's got no space left). They don't offer support over the weekend but first thing tomorrow morning I'll be on the phone to them.

The Techies were sympathetic and knowledgeable and agree that the best thing I can do until I can get in touch with my ISP is to draw them off the server. I'm deleting them straightaway once they get on my machine so there aren't space issues this end.

Last night the second, enormous tranche started about 8pm. I shall make sure we have an early dinner so I'm ready for 'em..

Your right you know. I'm so taken for granted.

I never be little DH where his work is concerned. I know he works hard and he'll do overtime to bump up the pay packet if needed or even if not sometimes.

But I work hard too. And when he goes off on one it's the same as me telling him,
'go back to work you haven't earned enough this week'. Which I would never do. Often I tell him not to do a weekend and have a rest.

That's why I love this thread. The support and appreciation we give each other makes all the difference. And the hugs when we have a rant or a bad day.

Question from DH. He wants to know how many of you have OH/DH that come home to a manky house (see above post plus if you care to my deleted list wherever it's gone) Because you have spent ONE day in front of the pc for 10 hours.

Edited to add that he spent the entire day in front of the TV apart from cooking breakfast and then making some pastry things at 7.00pm ish last night.

Mr.TAG, evgeryone deserves a day off now and again. You should be thankful, when I take a day off liek that it means I have been either, spedning money on shoes, spending money on jewellery, spending money in the town or spending money in ann summers.
