Wetting the bed at 11

Unfortunately I am leaning more towards a potential health issue (infection etc.) as my poor DS had an accident during the day today, and a very public one at that. :(

He came shopping with me to ASDA, and part way round said he needed the loo. He headed off towards the toilets, whilst I waited a few yards away at the end of a aisle. Just before he reached the door to the toilets he started to run, before stopping dead and wetting himself. :(

If he was mortified about wetting his bed, which was a fairly private matter, he's humiliated beyond belief about embarrasing himself so publically. He even asked me before whether he should wear a nappy!

I've had a good long talk with him, and tryed to convince him that it's not his fault, and that it's nothing to worry about, but he's not convinced. I've got an appointment for him with the GP tomorrow, who will hopefully be able to explain the facts a bit better than I can, and all being well help us figure out what's the matter and how we can solve it.

I'm really feeling so sorry for my little guy, as I can only begin to imagine how embarrasing all of this must be to him!

Hello viktriv,my imput is to buy Pampers bed mats and put one under the bottom sheet, it will soak up a lot of the wet. You could also get him up to the loo when you go to bed. Julie

Poor fella, he must be feeling awful at the moment. I do so hope that the GP can get it cleared up quickly.

Poor little devil - and they get SOOOO embarrassed at that age - and I think you are right - this sounds like more than just an anxiety problem. Let us know how you get on.

Aww, give him a hug - I feel so sorry for him!
