Don't forget to close them in the Autumn ;)

And we have a fair amount of dust fall through too, but it gives me more chance to win at Chore Wars, cos I'm dusting weekly instead of monthly :D

I wouldn't bother at all. Six main ISPs are tracking now, not worth the hassle

    Use Tor.

I find it ironic that I don't actually download music - but if I had to pay £30 quid a year as they proposed, I would hoover up absolutely *everything*...

If the ISPs are monitoring your traffic, does this mean they lose their "common carrier" exemptions to libel?

    I'm not familiar with Tor.

I don't download music or films - if there was a cheap way to buy films online I would. I haven't heard about the £30 thing

I'm not sure, apparently they are looking for high usage and particular programmes running - not sure how they can tell the latter.

    Tor: http://www.torproject.org/

There were proposing people would pay £30 per year in order to compensate the record distributors.

This is how much the music industry loses.

They'd probably scan your PC looking for open ports in order to see if you were sharing, or monitor your traffic. The mischievous amongst us would take them straight to court with a private prosecution under the Misuse of Computers Act, which makes such things explicitly illegal.
