Hey Tigemz! We love Croyde as well-will be going to the Thatch FOR SURE! We're staying at the Twitchen Park, nr Woolacombe. I cannot wait-it's my FAV place!
DD loves the ocean and we'll be on the beach I imagine rain or shine! DS can't wait for the 'wet sand' to make sand castles with!

We've not been to the Thatch as the times before we've been, we've not really eaten out but I will make sure we try it this time. We went back in May, LOVE it there. DD loves the beach, OH loves the surf... I just love the whole place. I may pop to Woolly for a day in Oct as OH's mate coming with us too so they can surf, DD and I will need a day out I think.

    Enjoy your BBQ xxx

Thanks girls, I feel a bit better. I took 2 paracetomol, had a soak in the bath, have shoved a M&S lamb hotpot in the oven and have opened a can of guinness :) I'll deal with the kitchen in a bit.

evening all. I'm in pain and grumpy today. I've chipped a bit off of my top wisdom tooth (not having much luck with these bloody teeth)

Are you taking enough calcium? Take some more.

and I'm in pain. Also I asked my daughter to tidy up the girls room because it was shocking. She was up there for a couple of hours before she went off for a sleep over. Stupid me should have checked the room before she went but i didn't. So, I went up after she had gone and realised the state of it. So far I have created 11 bags of rubbish, broken toys, litter and junk. A complete mountain of dirty washing, including some brand new never worn clothes. her PSP and DS were in bits under the bed.. along with 1 and an half black bags of litter... and it's a divan!!! Seriously that room was like one of those out of the Kim and Aggie show. I'm really pee-ed off.

So, I've pretty much emptied it apart from clothing, no toys or games, no tv or any nice stuff. if they can't look after it they won't have it.

    I'm surprised you're nesting so early... ;)

Then I came downstairs and my son had been in, cooked himself lunch, made an ungodly mess and went out again. leaving me with a minging kitchen to sort out. Am I the only one with any standards in this house? It's like living with a bunch of tramps.

They do have standards. They won't live in an untidy house. That doesn't mean *they* have to tidy it though - does it?

Oh lol Toto I do sooo recognise this senario.

I always make the mistake of taking dd's word for it.... and then my stress level rises when I go in to put the ironing on her bed.

My dd is actually genuinely  tidying just now.

The secret ... she is just going away for two weeks and I am putting the house on the market. I have told her a photo of her room will appear in the local paper and on the estate agents website for all to see ;)

Just back from a barbcue and chilling myself, but guess I ought to be tidying too.

well Wall.E was ok...not great but OK. an hour and a half without DS's constant questions though - priceless! I know he'll turn into a grumpy teen and never speak to me again and I should enjoy him but sometimes you just want a mute button...
