Well I bought one yesterday for 37p and it is still showing as 37p on their website.
The poster is getting confused with Tesco own brand bread, which I have in my cupboard at this moment, which is 72p, and to be quite honest its as bad as the Tesco value bread for sandwiches, it is really dry and doesn't last longer than a day or two. I'm off to Lidl in a wee while to pick up there bread it is very good quality in my opinion for 37p a loaf and not at all dry."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. i dont use a lot of bread so i dont buy a loaf unles is have visitors. but recently i have used the value rolls for a bbq (24p for 12) they also freeze well so i have been using the leftovers as and when i need a bit of bread.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. I used to buy Tesco Value white bread when it was 15p a loaf
It was all I ate actually - couple of slices in the toaster, occasionally treat myself with some Tesco Value sunflower spread on it.
I was a teenager, nutrition didn't matter.
Anyway, I don't eat bread at all now - probably average out at one wholemeal pitta bread per month, plus 4 (Tesco Value) garlic baguettes a year.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
We eat the next brand up (in the silver packet) but I prefer the cheaper one just DH and DD don't and majority rule in this house!0

We keep some in the freezer for emergencies of the partner's late-night toast or toasties variety, but it is pretty vile. In all honesty if my breadmaker breaks down / we run out of an ingredient, I'd rather go without.0

I can't remember if it's Tescos, or one of the other supermarkets, but the "value" brown / wholemeal bread is ok.
I don't eat white bread, but my partner assures me that it tastes vile. He will nly eat kingsmill though. I bought 3 loaves of the normal tesco bread yesterday for 1.50 - only about 15p more than his single loaf.0 -

This is the one I paid 37p for, Value bread.

I buy tesco value bread when my OH's daughter comes for the weekend as she won't eat my HM wholmeal bread. While she is here she only eats a few slices, so the rest of it i make into breadcrumbs and freeze. ( I have made white bread for her, but she just won't eat HM bread, in fact its getting to the stage where she wont eat anything I have made, but thats another story!) I have never actually eaten it, but the breadcrumbs are fine in savoury crumbles or fishcakes
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
