What's your win rate?

OK, am interested in this cos I read a post from someone (can't remember who or where) who said they entered around 100 comps a day and won around 12 prizes a month. If a month has 30 days, that's 3000 comps entered with a return of 12 prizes or 1 win per 250 comps entered.
I've been comping seriously since mid-June. The first time I had a "win" was in early July - but it was a call to say I'd "won" tix to something that night which no way I'd entered cos I knew I wouldn't be able to go so suspect it was a RU prize they couldn't get rid of.
I then "won" the Afrika!Afrika! preview tickets but everyone who entered around the time I entered "won".
I "won" a few £5 Esprit vouchers on their daily game but as I can only use one of them at a time and they have to be used by 10th August, it means that actually only winning one of those is any good.
Then, I won a proper prize of the Bubble Mower and the Dizzy Daisy.
At best, that's 6 prizes in a month, more properly 4. And I enter about 100 comps a day too now. So that's 1 win per 500 - 750 comps entered. Otherwise, I have to enter 3 times as many comps to get a win.
How come? I realise it could just be the randomness of it all but is there a deeper issue - eg opting out of everything, random "selection" of winners who fit a website's "demographic" better than others, even where someone lives?
So, what's your win rate? I realise I haven't been comping long but I do wonder how people seemingly get wins ALL the time.

I enter 100 comps a day and win about a prize a week (ie same as you four in a month). I'm yet to have a big win though... this weeks prize was just a beanie hat.

I'll be interested to read the replies to this thread. I work for a comping magazine, so this is all good research!

Not sure how many I enter per day, but must be at least 100 per day over a month. I also do about 10 postal comps per week, some cheap daily text comps and about 10 daily online comps.
July I won 6 online comps from here, one postal comp and one text comp.JUNE: Wine - DVD :j0 -
I enter around 100 comps a day and I won 15 prizes last month.
I have been entering comps since the beginning of March and have won in total approx 50 prizes with a guestimated total value of £900:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
I think it really is down to luck.
I enter between 25 and 100 a day, if you count month endings.
I don't enter comps for cd/dvds & tickets that I don't want, holidays I can't use, student comps, some regional ones and quite a few other stuff when I think about it (but always try to thank the op anyway for the work they've put in).
In May 4 comps thanks to the daily glamour. June I won 8 comps including a lcd TV, July 3 comps. I'm happy with that and everything I win is wanted.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -

I think I must have had a bit of beginners luck although I do seem to put alot of time in according to my hubby :rotfl:
Looking at my book (yes I know I am sad :rotfl:) I enter on average between 100-200 a day (some days I have entered over 400) and have won:
started comping 11th feb and won 2 prizes in Feb
March - won 13 prizes
April - won 11 prizes
May - won 23 prizes
June - won 25 prizes
July - won 32 prizes
August - have won 5 prizes today
My win rate has definitely increased as I have became more obsessive :rotfl:
I enter at least double a day now then when I first started and I now enter most daily, weekly and monthly competitions plus some text comps. Next on my list is to get a load of postcards and start the postal comps.
Definitely keep going and I am sure you will see an increase, I am waiting for my expected quiet month soon xxx0 -
I probably only do about 10-15 a day, some postcard ones and ones in my local paper. I think I would find it impossible to do as many as a 100 and admire those who do. I've been quite lucky though and on analysing my "wins" have definitely had the most success with local papers. Think I have had 4 wins from my local paper since last December including £500 Post Office vouchers, Alton Towers tickets x 4, Bus pass and this week I had a Magiumix ice cream maker. Interestingly 2 of the wins I had were when I hand delivered the entries to the local paper office. Coincidence?
I just keep entering and hope for the best, only enter for what I would like to win and can use. :jBest of luck to everyone this month as well.0 -
I started in june and won 10, then july I won 29 prizes. All quite small

hi, i enter the comps ending but am selective (i dont enter tickets or holidays).its roughly 30 a day apart from end of month.
i started comping middle of may and so far have won:
July - garnier goody bag, cd, book.
August - wem 2day of bonne maman products worth over £70
i am wondering though should i continue doing comps ending or try to catch up on ALL those pages of comps and do them 'as they are posted'?
is there any difference in the number of comps entered/amount of prizes won by doing the comps these 2 different ways?0
