I don't count as too many to enter. Rarely enter for small prizes, or przes that are of no use.
Five years ago I entered many postal comps.
Last year I may have used one book of stamps.
This year yet to use a single stamp.

I enter many online comps with decent prizes,
but only if my Irish friend, Rob O'form,
is able to fill in the form for me.
Don't keep records of entries as to me this is wasted time.
I work full time, so time is critical for me.
Currently spend too much time with tv quizzes

    Wins for this year below.
If you keep pumping the entries in you will win.
Luck has nothing o do with it

    good luck

I've changed my facebook username to NOBODY so when I enter FB comps I press the "Like" button it will say NOBODY likes this
  • I'm not sure how many I enter per day, probably between 100 and 200, not including entering the ITV ones 20 or 30 times and all the different comps in magazines like Take a Break etc. I'm counting those as 1 each.

    This years wins are
    January 3
    February 8
    March 14
    April 7
    May 27
    June 34
    July 9

I've managed to pay for my son's 21st birthday (presents, meal out and day out at Silverstone) and our family holidays (5 days in Norfolk and a week in Swanage) in prizes and money from prizes I've sold. I'm now saving for next year's holiday. Without the prizes I've won we would have really struggled to do any of the above this year.

Good luck to everyone, although I do believe Karma and hard work have a lot to do with it.

I enter 100+ per day and haven't won anything since June! I need some fairy dust! I post comps when I find them and if they haven't been posted already!

Must admit, I am losing my comping obsession. Any tips welcome!

    Good Luck All!

i enter approx 60 - 100 comps daily depends whats about i think if you work out what ive won its like one a month my total is 305 pound plus to (best ever win) man u tickets today
  • my return rate is fairly in terms of numbers, but I have won a couple higher value things. I only enter those where I want the prize so obviously I'm not going to win as much as people who enter everything

I enter as many as I possibly can (time factor) in one day. I have been comping since end of Jan. this year and only enter online. I have at least one win per week, usually more! I would say I enter between 60 and 80 comps. per day.:D

Some of these replies are really encouraging! :D

I've been a bit of a part-time comper for years, entering some online and a lot of postal comps and had a fair bit of success (Sky installation, week to Majorca, various DVDs etc).
I only discovered the competition forums here at MSE just over a month ago, just as my summer holidays started, and it has been a great way to pass the time. I enter at least 100 comps a day - if I can use it or give it to someone then I enter the comp.

One win so far and it wasn't from here, alas. I'm sure the deluge of prizes is on its way any day now....:rotfl:

    Hi all
I spend about 2+ hours a night and enter most competitions listed on mse, that I would like to win or can give to family.
    I don`t enter for cd/dvd`s or Holidays.
I have had no wins since April this year
When I started comping last year I averaged about 1 a month, nothing big, just vouchers and books..
I do a couple of postal comps and texts a week.
So my wins are small but I still enjoy doing them.
It is great to read what other people win too.
I think just keep entering as you never know when it`s your turn to win.
    good luck comping

I only enter comps that I really want to win. An average I suppose of about 30 a day. When I started I read a post stating an average win rate of around 1 in 600 but in my case 1 in 250 is probably closer but in the end it is only luck that defines how many you will win.
